Beautifully built, with the old style masonry. As soon as we came to the guest services desk, we were greeted by two smilingly ladies. They made us feel welcome right from the start. The check in was fast and they answered all the questions we had. This is the type of reception we like, as they seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. The village is a five minute drive and has a lot of restaurants and shops to browse. Very relaxing Inn to visit and it's easier to use the subway, than to drive around this city.

Room Tip: We had the King room, but I'm sure the standard room, which is less money would be a good choice...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your experience on Trip Advisor with future travelers. Our staff take pride in providing service excellence and I am delighted to hear that they exuded this in the friendly and efficient service they provided you.

Truly a "gem" in Toronto, the Old Mill is a historic landmark that has served thousands of guests since its opening in 1914. WE hope to continue in our service tradition and welcome many more as the years unfold.

It would be our pleasure to welcome you back again and again.

Sincerely,

Comfortably situated on the Humber River, a short walk to Bloor shops and restaurants, through a scenic, tree-lined and quiet neighbourhood just across the hundred year old bridge! Great check-in staff, who went the extra mile for us. Rooms were spacious with character and charm, luxurious bedding, robes, towels and bath products. We were upgraded to the "Honeymoon Suite", as we had to wait for our room, and we were totally blown away with the expanse of it. There was a dining room, large living room with fireplace, butler area and desk, also a spacious bedroom (4 poster bed) and huge bathroom! We liked the ambiance of the Terrace Room for breakfast, and the main floor bar and lounge were beautiful, with live entertainment. Even the walk through the hallways were full of gorgeous paintings and furniture. We didn't spend time in the gardens but enjoyed the views through the many large windows facing onto them. Parking was a breeze, and we left our car there and took the subway downtown to Roy Thomson Hall, it was seriously almost door to door!! Subway was very clean, and we felt very safe, even walking back to the inn at midnight. What a great way to enjoy the city.

Dear Jennifer S,

Thank you for taking the time to write in your comments regarding your stay with us. Part of our charm is having the look and feel of staying at a resort whilst being just minutes by subway to the heart of the city. Many of our guests take advantage of all the wonderful close by attractions while being able to retreat to the safe haven of The Old Mill.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and upgraded to our Deluxe King Suite and we hope that you will have another occasion to visit us again.

Sincerely,

The Old mill is what the name implies, a reconstructed old mill, built in 1834 and rebuild in the year 2000. It has a labyrinthine construction which add charme rather than confusing the visitor, like many other conference hotels. It suits any type of visitors, so do not get mislead by the fact that it is a wedding or a conference venue, those events happen quite away from the "normal" customers areas.
It is though quite far from downtown, so if you come with the idea to visit Toronto it may not be ideal, but I liked the ambiance, the tranquillity, the light jazz music you could hear from the hidden loudspeakers.
Breakfast is quite simple, maybe not at the expected level, especially the buffet one.
The restaurant was crowded every night, probably also due to a jazz event.

Dear GPS001,

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. As a proud venue sponsor of the TD Toronto Jazz festival we were sold out most nights with international Jazz artists being featured at our property. Although we are not located in the heart of downtown Toronto we are steps away from the subway which gives easy access to our guests to be close to everything within 15 minutes.

Our premium continental buffet is amplified with many choices not traditionally offered in a continental menu. We also have an a al carte menu for our guests.

We are happy to hear that for the most part you enjoyed your stay. Should you have the opportunity to visit us again we would welcome you with open arms.

Sincerely,

We booked at a room at the old mill for a wedding and were really impressed with the service, the room and attention to detail. We would come back in a heartbeat! I particularly liked the bathroom amenities (soaps, shampoo, bubble bath etc). and the up to date magazine selection in the room. Our two children, age 10 and 13, were with us and found the pull out bed very comfortable. We had loads of space, and great views from our room where we could watch various bridal parties getting their photos done which was fun. Keep up the great work!

This was a great hotel to stay in for our honeymoon. We had very great service from the front desk to the maid service. While it was more than we would normally spend on a hotel to sleep in, it was worth it for this special trip. We were able to get money exchanged at the front desk, which was a great help, no need to search around to find a place. I would definately recomend to someone else.

I came to stay at the Old Mill Inn to attend a Conference Board conference. The entire experience was first class. I was able to leave my car in the parking lot across the street and by simply providing my license plate number, was able to park safely and for free. We were helped to the room by a friendly doorman and entered to the sounds of pleasant music. The room was luxurious with a gorgeous king-size bed, a gas fireplace, sitting area, and great natural lighting from large windows on two walls. The large bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and a shower along with a separate small space for the toilet and second sink. The front desk staff were most helpful, suggesting places for walks and dinner on Bloor. Upon returning from dinner, I discovered a lovely surprise - the bed was turned down and delicious chocolates were placed on the bed. The property is fantastic, with the wedding garden, waterfalls, outdoor patios. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. I would recommend a stay in this Inn - a treasure and get-away from the hustle and bustle of Toronto.

This Inn is just Beautiful. Gardens are wonderful and rooms very nice. We had a Premium King Suite and it was very very nice. Very roomy and living area had lots of natural light. Beds very comfortable. Turndown service every night was very nice and room was always clean when we returned. Bar was nice but food not great and very pricey. Did not try restaurant except for the Free Continental breakfast which was great. Front desk was always helpful. While we were there weddings were going on and we could look out our window and watch the beautiful brides getting pictures. This area has a beautiful park along the Humber river. Walking and bike rides were so relaxing and great scenery.
