Courtyard Toronto Airport
Ranked #73 of 137 Hotels in Toronto
Reviewed August 15, 2012

This hotel is a very good representative of the glamour of the Marriott brand. Modern, big, clean and tidy. Personal very gently. For those who need to be close to the airport is perfect. For those who be close to downtown is the key, this is not the right choice, it's far, 10 km at least. Other than that, the hotel is all that good.

Used this hotel for a simple overnight waiting for a flight. Easy shuttle experience, very friendly front desk staff. Daughter loved the pool which was clean and larger than most Courtyard hotels we have stayed at. Room was fine, beds were comfortable. The only thing I would say is I have stayed at all 3 Marriott properties in the area, The Fairfield Inn, The Marriott (full service) and the Courtyard. While the Fairfield Inn is supposed to be lowest on the Marriott chain it has the largest rooms of the 3 locations (by a very wide margin) and you get complimentary breakfast. So in comparing the 3 I always take the Fairfield Inn when it is available, and it is the cheapest. I stayed in the full service Marriott right next door to the Courtyard about 3 weeks ago and the rooms were interchangeable between there and the Courtyard, no differences. Marriott really needs to look at their brand experience because in Toronto, the Fairfield Inn is by far the better place to stay for a simple overnight. Don't see any difference between the full service and the courtyard.

Dear David L, thank you for your comments on your recent stay with us. Your comments have certainly been noted and I will share your kind words with our front desk associates. Courtyard brands do charge for breakfast and partially because we utilize fresh ingredients and items are also cooked to order to ensure freshness. This fall we will be reforming our restaurant to Courtyards new “Bistro” which will offer Starbucks products along with a new and revitalized menu sure to please. Next time you are in town we hope to welcome you again and please check with us if our “Extended Queen” rooms are available which will offer additional space and comfort in our guest rooms for multiple guests. One last note that will separate us from the competition is “Complimentary Fiber Inter Access” which will be available soon!
We look forward to welcoming you again and thank you again for your comments.

Came in late and had made a request to have two double bedded rooms connecting (traveling with family/kids). Front Desk staff was really helpful in making sure the arrangements were all set. Great location for either a late arrival or early departure.

But DON'T use the Payless Airport Rent A Car nearby....worse than horrible. Any dollar you save is not worth it. Trust me!

I liked the hotel for its convenient location, clean rooms, and efficient, friendly service.

The room was spacious, clean, tidy and well-equipped.

I just didn't like the airplanes taking off right over my head late into the night, and early in the morning. I really wanted to sleep in!

At least there could have been a free Continental breakfast, if I had to be up so early.

Room Tip: Get a room as close the ground-level as possible, and maybe on the east side of the building.

Before going to Mexico I wanted to stay close to the airport for an early morning flight. This hotel's prices were very good and they offer free shuttle service to the airport right from the front doors. I liked the rooms, they were very clean and bed was nice and comfortable. The lady who checked us in was very pleasant and because the hotel wasn't very busy we were put in an upgraded room. There isn't many things to do near by, but we were just staying the night. We got in a nice work out and swim before going to bed, and slept very well. Breakfast was excellent too. Service in the restaurant was prompt and courteous.
Very well put together hotel.
Thank you for your warm hospitality.

Dear Khouseman, thank you for sharing your wonderful experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Airport. Earlier this year we completed room refreshes to our entire hotel which included new mattresses and box springs and I am glad you had a restful sleep. Our staff is truly our greatest strength and with so many choices in the airport area we are happy you stayed with us and look forward to welcoming you again. Please ask one of our associates for a "Things to Do" list in the area and we would be more than happy to direct you to some fun places to visit on your next trip. Thank you!

I have stayed in this hotel numerous times over the years. Great location, rates with restaurants such as The Keg, Casey's, Mr Greek right next door (or close walking distance). A few other restuarants choices 5 mins down the road as well. (Milestones, Swiss Chalet, Sushi places, Moxies, etc.) Good size pool, gym. Always a good stay. I personally love watching the places take off and land so this works great for that if you have a south side high floor room :)

Room Tip: Hotel offers a shuttle to airport too...

Dear Canuckgirl, thank you for your kind words on your recent stay with us. Although we are walking distance from many local eateries I am happy to let you know by mid September our next "The Bistro" restaurant complete will be available to serve you for breakfast and/dinner. Along with this addition we will soon be offering Starbucks products as well. We hope to welcome you again soon and I will be certain to share your kind comments with our staff.
