“Great food, great price!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

We had looked this up online before going to Toronto and singled this out as one of the 'must visit' places. We were not disappointed. 4oz of salty & succulent pork, crispy crackling, a delicious toasted bun, and I added to mine a slice of mozzarella and truffle sauce. The basic pork/crackling/bun combination is a bargain at $6.95 and there are plenty of other toppings you can add on to customise your sandiwch. It more than lived up to our expectations.

There are only 4 seats inside - we were lucky enough to visit when there were 2 free spots and no queue, however the queue was soon out the door. It moved fast though and the customer turnaround is quite rapid.

All in all, highly recommended. If you're ever in Toronto and need a quick lunch then this is the place for you.

“They do pork right”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

The menu is simple featuring a soup of the day and the pork in sandwich or platter form. We chose the sandwich which is 4 oz of pulled pork shoulder, a sprinkling of crispy pork rind served on a toasted chibatta roll. The garnishes range from a very good Dijon mustard to truffle sauce. The day we went the house special was a pork sandwich garnished with mustard Parmesan and truffle sauce. At $8.15 it wasn't cheap eats but it was an excellent treat.

The place is spotlessly clean, but it is basically just a counter with a few stools around the wall and in front of the window for seating. There is also a small bench in the sidewalk in front, but in January this could be a little chilly. I think this would be a great place to bring visitors for a quick lunch while touring the city.

“Unbelievable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012 via mobile

Stopped here on a whim, so glad we did unbelievable pork sandwiches. The guy at the counter recommended the "house special" pork with mustard, hot sauce ,truffle sauce, and shaved parmesan cheese. Sounds like it wouldn't work together but it did. The only draw back is the place is really small so only about 5 stools to sit in the entire place and the surrounding area is a bit run down . But the sandwiches make up for outside. I would most definately return next time I'm in town.

“Portions are terribly small.”

The porchetta sandwich is small for the price and is lacking in flavour. There is far better food out there.

“Should be one in every city!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2012

The sandwiches here have to be tasted to be believed - if you do nothing else while in Toronto, GO HERE!

We pulled up to the restaurant at 11:30 - which we found out was opening time. There was already a line of locals waiting to get in! (Please note, there is no seating available. You get your sandwich and go.) The menu has one main dish - their pork sandwich (the rest of the menu consists of a porchetta plate, potatoes, soup and that’s about it). For less than $10 a sandwich, this slow roasted pork is like nothing we've ever tried before!

I only hope that the owner of this restaurant will franchise out and that a Porchetta & Co. will open in my city! Please oh please oh please!!
