“Garlic sauce that will knock your socks off! Paramount delivers!!”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

Located right across the street from the Eaton Centre, Paramount Fine Foods Inc. offers quality Lebanese food at a reasonable price. It is always a good sign when you see a places always packed, day and night. This is Paramount Fine Foods Inc. day in and day out. Their unique charcoal cooking stove gives a distinct and delicious flavour to their meals. I enjoy their shish tawook, a marinated chicken skewer that is so tender that it almost melts in your mouth. It is so good! The garlic sauce adds such a depth to any meal and as an added bonus, there is no chance of vampires! :) No really, the garlic sauce is potent but not overpowering. It really adds flavour to any meal. I enjoyed the Kadri sandwich and for $7.43, it is completely worth it! Best part of the Kadri is the ten percent of the proceeds go to Sick Kids Hospital. I highly recommend a meal at Paramount Fine Foods Inc., the service is friendly and moves relatively well. The choice of quality Lebanese food over the food court offering at the Eaton Centre is something that I would choose when having the time to do so. Enjoying a quality flavorful meal at Paramount Fine Foods Inc. is something that every Torontonian and tourist should do!

“Amazing food, great price.”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

I have come here a couple times.
The falafel is great. Even a few pieces is really filling. I would suggest to get the individual ones from the appetizer section vs the platter to get more bang for your buck.
The Musakaa dip is great to have with their fresh pita or the falafel.
Prices are very reasonable.
Highly recomend coming here !

“Super fresh, prime location, inexpensive.............”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

Very busy downtown Toronto middle-eastern "eatery"..........super fresh ingredients at a bargain-of-a-deal price point. The freshness rivals that of a nearby Panera bread outlet and is far superior in my opinion to any Urban Eatery outlet in neighboring Eaton Centre. And the experience is far more interesting. Located on Yonge at Eaton Centre you might mistake it for a pub as the façade and the name is not exactly typically "Arabic". Large space a bit "cramped" from squeezing in many small tables but there is an upper level, too. A very enticing showcase/ordering station(s) spans the entire length of the restaurant. A variety of mezze are displayed, salads, then the kebabs and skewered tomatoes and onions, then a few stations of exquisite sweets and miniature baklava and finally - like the prize at the end - a wood burning oven that cranks out loads and loads of puffed up pita bread that go directly on the table complimentary. Add to that that the place is abuzz with activity and you have a real "market" atmosphere. Many young couples and several families, too ( family platters available on the menu). We quickly realized that this was a good opportunity to try out items freely as many are as low as 3-5 $. We had the Moutabbal which is a smoky babaghanoush and the spicy chicken Manakeesh ( an Arabic style pizza - only $3.49) as appetizers and the servings were more than generous to be shared. The steaming hot pita bread and the plump chicken/tomato/onion pizza were so fresh and good and the unique zataar seasoning was a new and pleasing flavour to experience. Fruity olive oil and parsley/mint and pomegranate garnishes accent the plates. We then shared a plate of BBQ beef skewers with Arabic pickles and grilled vegetables. The meat was very tender and had an unmistakable charbroil finish. I've had better pickles - this would be my one criticism - and I also did not find the hummus to have any flavour compared with the moutabbal - but the meat and vegetables were prepared to perfection. We finished our meal with cappuccino and a small assortment of miniature baklava type sweets and left incredibly happy and satisfied. Service was a bit "curt" - but other servers around us seemed more friendly. The price for this lunch extravaganza was just 37$ with tax before tip. We have paid about 25$ for Big Smoke hamburger combos ( for two) in the food court. What a bargain for this healthy sit down meal alternative ! Halal meat - no alcohol - just so you know.

“Flavour Explosion!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

I was taken here by my good friend who is a regular and I was blown away. The food is awesome. The servings are great (not huge but filling), you can also order lots of little dishes which I love. Our server, I believe her name was Jasmine, was spectacular. She was always around when we needed her and very friendly. The fresh pita is such a treat!

Just go here!

“Try the moutabbal, you'll become a regular at the Paramount”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Strange name for a Middle-Eastern restaurant, but The Paramount is the real deal. We ordered the hummus with chicken, moutabbal which is listed on the menu as grilled egg-plant, but it comes in a puree and has a deliciously smokey flavour. These two items are on the appetizers section of the menu and you'll get enough food for three people. Tasty fresh baked bread in the form of a balloon is gratis. One of my best restaurant finds ever.
