“have to try it.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Tey have a dill dip at this chain. If you like dill its good on everything. This place has an average bar atmosphere and a great burger menu. The prices are right for everything on the menu and the service is great. The padio is somthing to look forward to in the summertime on young st. Its also a great place to watch a game.

“Doing a "Best Wing" comparison”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

Finally got to try St. Louis Bar & Grill's wings at the Rogers Centre location this past weekend. Have been a loyal fan of Duff's Wings for almost two decades, so I'm a tough sell, but I was curious.

Before an afternoon Argos game, the restaurant & patio were bustling. The server was prompt & pleasant, and made helpful suggestions for beverages & 'first-timers' go at the wing offerings. We tried a special lunch combo of Coors beer, 5 traditional and 5 boneless chicken wings served with crunchy homemade potato chips, served with creamy garlic-dill dressing.

Food was served quickly and was very tasty. The medium spicy/saucy wings were flavourful & zippy. The other flavourings, Buffalo & Ranch, and Chili & Lime, were very yummy, as well. First time having boneless wings, and they were very nice sized and flavourful.

Good value, too, as the lunch combo for 10 wings, chips & Beer was $13.99 before tax/tip.

One item to note is that the traditional wings looked overcooked. I do perfer my wings cooked golden-crisp to bring out the full flavour, but this was cooked beyond that point to dark, almost dry, blackness. Being in sauce made them edible. Our server explained this was the usual 'doneness', and reordering them would only result in the same. The wings were very tasty, nonetheless, but I would have preferred them a bit less charred looking/tasting.

Tho' my heart is still loyal to Duff's, I would visit St. Louis Bar & Grill again.

“IN SEARCH OF DEVILISHLY GOOD WINGS”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

I am forever searching for the best and yummiest wings; so far I have tried 'St. Louis' up on Yonge near Eglinton, Wing Machine, Lou Dawg's, Duff's, Congee Queen and Guu, they were all pretty good and yummy. My husband and I ordered a lb of wings and 1/2 rack of ribs; as it was on Sunday the restaurant has a special offer of wings & pop(unlimited) for $13.49. The wings were 'plump', 'juicy' and 'finger licking' good but unfortunately the ribs were a tad on the dry side. But hey there are no complaints from me as the service was excellent and there is an unlimited supply of drinks (happens to be ice tea); we left happy and totally satisfied.

“Standard Sports Bar Food”
Reviewed November 17, 2011

You get exactly what you would expect from a restaurant that you can hang out with a few friends and atch the game. Wings, burgers, ribs, fries, beer on tap, etc.

The restaurant was very clean, had a great atmostphere and a very friendly staff.

This was our first visit to this restaurant but would not hesitate to go back when we return to Toronto.

“Not a bad little place, you could miss it if you didn't know it was there”
Reviewed October 19, 2011

This restaurant is located at the corner of Yonge & Breadalbane Street..which is across from Yonge & Maitland Street..it's where the Hornero restaurant used to be..It's a small place inside with outdoor seating available during good weather..typical sports bar fare and ambience..about 4 flat-screens mounted on different walls showing various sporting / news channels..Went here for late lunch during the week..place was quiet, about 4 others were dining..server was a lovely young girl, very attentive. Had the ribs with mashed potatoes and cole slaw..were the ribs fall off the bone tender..I wouldn't say so..but they were good ribs..1/2 rack was good enough for 1 person..cost about 20 CDN..was torn between this and the pulled pork sandwhich that I'll have to go back and try one day.
Although the location is in a trafficked part of Yonge street ( fair amount of people walking in either direction to / from Bloor street..) I think it could be easily missed if you didn't know that the place existed, i.e. knowing the name St. Louis Bar & Grill or if you're not a fan of wings & ribs. Probably the only type place like this amongst all the fast food burger, pizza, sushi, Iranian, Lebanese, Middle Eastern, Asian fare to be found on Yonge street.
