We tried to book a reservation but they were full but said they would try to fit us in if we dropped in. When we got there were only patio seats available and it was extremely hot but we took it anyway. The hostess was very accommodating and the moment a table was free inside she came and asked us if we wanted to move inside. By this time we were settled on the patio and decided to stay. Our server Dekk was very knowledgeable about the menu, had great suggestions and even though he was working his butt off he always had full bottles of cold water ready for us. We never had to ask. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back.

We had a lovely birthday dinner with the family last night. We had a party of four adults and two kids, and although there were no specific kid items on the somewhat limited menu, they whipped up a spaghetti with pomodoro that my younger daughter loved, and the older one went with the adult menu. Everything was very high quality. Gnocchi was especially good. We had appetizers, pasta and dessert. My only regret was that with my nut allergy, I was not able to try the asparagus salad that looked amazing. Pasta portions were moderate, not large by any means, and just perfect with the appetizers and desserts. We were seated out on the patio and it was very pleasant. I am a bit confused in how difficult it was to get reservations for this place (booked online a couple of weeks in advance) as it was almost totally empty when we arrived at 6:30 on a midweek evening, and it was still only about half full when we left around 8:45.

Visited Enoteca Sociale in TO based on the recommendation of a big time chef here in Buffalo. He was right on the mark. This smallish restaurant, with a limited menu, does it all well. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers, especially when we followed the recommended wine pairing for the dish. Very innovative choices using fresh high quality ingredients. Entrees amounted to maybe ten or so, and they did them well. By using a limited menu, the kitchen staff can focus on putting out really good food. The wine list is pretty big, and if you lack the knowledge to make a choice the staff is knowledgeable and more than willing to help. We skipped dessert since there were only three choices, none of which appealed to us.
Several noteworthy points: Enoteca Sociale can be LOUD. We had a very obnoxious group next to us, using very vulgar language and the management did nothing to have them tone it down. This was the only disappointing part of our visit.
This is not a traditional "red sauce" Italian restaurant, so don't expect that should you choose to go.
Its in a cool neighborhood, so you can walk around and visit a few other bars should you wish.

I'm keeping it short and sweet - tonight's birthday dinner for my fiancé was fabulous. Excellent attentive service and delicious house made fresh bread started off our evening. We savoured every bite of our mushroom crostini, grilled romaine lettuce salad with grapes and pine nuts (and an amazing yogurt dressing), gnocchi with fresh tomatoes, and fresh pasta with a carrot and ricotta filling. We finished it off (somehow finding room!!) for an unbelievable cardamom bread pudding, cappuccino and americano coffee. We enjoyed every minute of our evening and will definitely be back. Atmosphere was lively but laid back. Top notch food and service. Thank you Enoteca Sociale!

Last night was likely my 15th time at Enoteca, and each time the food gets better and better. Last night it was the tuna crudo that blew my mind. So thoughtfully prepared with fresh orange sections and I think a hint of anise. Runners up would be the shaved asparagus salad with pistachio crema and the mushroom crostini. Wrap that up in attentive service and you get what is now one of my fave restaurants in Toronto.
Keep up the good work Enoteca!
