“Delicious food, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

I visited the restaurants with a couple of friends for a casual weekday dinner and was very pleasantly surprised - the food is reasonably priced, everything we tried was delicious and the service was great (despite the fact the restaurant was packed).

My favourite dish was the Hariyali Tikka ($11.95) - chicken breast marinated in mint, cilantro and tandoori spices, cooked to perfection in the traditional clay oven... Delicious!

I highly recommend making a dinner reservation. It seems to be constantly full, even on a weekday evening.

“A Must-Try”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

Yesterday, we went to this restaurant on a whim as we were in the area and saw good reviews for it. We wanted takeout service. The lady at the counter was very patient with us, and helped us choose our dishes. I always eat Lamb Saag every time I go to any indian restaurant. So ordering that was a given. She suggested the Chicken Madras instead of the Vindaloo due to the spice level. Lastly, we decided upon the Mutter Paneer. She told us the order would be ready in 20 minutes, and so it was - Prompt and efficient.

First of all, I found that their serving is bigger than other restaurants. Instead of the little styrofoam bowls, they serve in a bigger plastic container. That was a real plus for me because the curries ALWAYS seep through or turn the styrofoam into soggy messes by the time we get home. But, the food was well-contained and intact. It's a weird thing to be impressed by, but I was very happy about it.

Secondly, the food was fresh! The Garlic Naans were absolutely lip-smackingly delicious. Everything tasted fantastic. I was VERY impressed with the Chicken Madras. The Lamb Saag was made a little differently than other restaurants. The spinach was less mashed… It gave the curry a very good texture. Overall, a fabulous dinner.

Thirdly and lastly, I really do want to thank the people that work there. The manager/owner personally gave us our food, and was very courteous and friendly. The personnel and of course the cooks in the kitchen were wonderful! This is definitely a place to come back to.

“Consistently good!”

No matter day of week or time of day these guys deliver. Consistently good service combined with phenomenal food at reasonable prices - are there any other boxes that need to be checked?

“Extremely fast, friendly, and great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

I've been to a number of the top rated Indian restaurants in the GTA. This place ranks among them.

The food is good; the curries taste a little less typical and a bit lighter (a good thing) than some of the other places I've been. Naan and roti were delicious, as usual. Tandoori chicken was a little on the dry side, which pushed me to give the place 4 stars rather than 5.

The service was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and very fast. Almost too fast.

“Great food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

A group of us had dinner there on New Years eve. Plenty of selections on the menu, including vegetarian. Everything was made fresh and the food was piping hot when it arrived. The appetizers were really good, I recommend ordering and sharing different ones with each other. On this busy night the kitchen made some exceptions for us, eg excluding coriandar from the recipe for one of the meals. Excellent prices too!
