We sampled shrimp satay, mango cold roll, duck quinoa, coconut mango sticky rice and deep fried banana. I think skewered shrimp served with a tasty thick dipping sauce is more accurate description, but nevertheless it was tasty, as was the roll appetizer.
The quinoa dish was inventive and excellent. Instead of using white rice, they used quinoa "fried rice style." Never knew you could finish the grain like that, especially as the dish was not oily. Very reasonable entree portion, loved that the deep fried banana is finished with honey instead of the usual ice cream.
The mango slice on the bottom of the sticky rice was very pale in colour, and lacked juiciness, sweetness and flagrance; they used a different type of mango than what we're used to eating. My dining companion did not bother to finish this dish. All the dishes were well presented.
Seemed well-staffed. The owner check on the food and chatted; she seemed warm and genuine. The host also took the time to stop by and chat, and replenished my water glass. The server and runner were good but lacked polish (e.g., setting down my entree plate in the middle of the table and then pushing it towards me as it banged through my cutlery instead of picking the plate up and setting it down in front of me.)
Lovely surroundings and ambiance. I'd definitely return.
