From the moment you enter the doors, you know this hotel will be nice. We checked in early because we had spa appointments in the morning. They were more than willing to hold our bags (and sent our room keys up to the spa when the room was ready, so we didn't have to go back down to reception). The room had 2 queen beds, a lovely and spacious bathroom, and an incredible view of the CN Tower and lakeshore. I am from this city and see the CN tower daily, but it was still breathtaking. The hotel is close to many Starbucks, and there are so many restaurants less than a block away. Trendy King Street is so close, with so many places to choose from for dining. Turn down service was nice, with water by our beds, dim lighting turned on, and jazz music playing out of Bose speakers. It was delightful. The bathroom was nice- with dim lighting and a TV in the mirror to entertain you in the bath. Our bathroom floor heater didn't work, but I can't complain! Upon checkout, there was a candy bar in the lobby which made the child in me very happy. A wonderful stay- highly recommended. If you have the opportunity, visit the spa- it's one of my favourites!

I stayed for one night on business. Everything worked flawlessly. The rooms are elegant, slightly traditional in style but very subtle. The service is excellent in an understatedly quiet way. I wish I could stay at Ritz-Carltons every time...

I used the gym twice, and they let me use the spa facilities after I had checked out, as I needed an operating base for a few hours before heading out to the airport. My, the spa is gorgeous! They even have a decent sauna (although the temperature did not impress a Finn). The laundry service also did a great job.

I had a lunch at the lobby bar. The ambience is cozy, but the tuna salad was a bit underwhelming - nothing wrong with it as such, just unimaginative.

Let me preface by saying that we stay at many hotels worldwide so to say that the Ritz Toronto was excellent is a true compliment. Prior to our 14 hour flight home to Dubai, we were accompanied by Niccolo, a young hospitality exec who made our final hours a pleasure and very comfortable. Excellent property. Lee, Melinda and Nic. All excellent.

I enjoyed this hotel very much. It was built only 3 1/2 years ago, and the decor is modern but still comfortable. The staff are very nice (though the doormen don't open the door for guests; maybe it is a Canadian thing). The location is fairly easy walking distance to the boardwalk on Lake Ontario. Meaning it is also very close to CN tower -- which was right in front of us while dining in the hotel 20th floor Club. Also close by, within walking distance, was the baseball field -- home of the Toronto Blue Jays, and Ripley's Aquarium. The main tourist King Street is across a little park from the hotel, with a host of outdoor restaurants. All of which is to say...the Ritz Carlton is in a Great Location! I was surprised on a Tuesday night how lively and packed both Hotel Bars were. Young, beautiful professionals. Toronto is a great people-watching town. So many diverse neighborhoods bordering each other.

Room Tip: There are rooms with views of the Lake, but we did not have one. But did not matter so much as we sp...

Had we had access to the hotel's bars during our stay then this review would be a 5. However on our first evening one restaurant / bar was hosting a private function so for pre dinner drinks we had to squeeze into a very busy smaller bar at the front of the hotel that is used by local workers as a pit stop after work. Service was slow as they were so busy, lots of people walked away when they saw how busy the bar was. The second evening that bar was closed for some reason, no one in it just a red cord across the entrance. The other was open, so we had somewhere to go, but no choice and i was expecting choice. That said the room was excellent, staff at check in and on the door were very good indeed and the cleanliness was an example of how things should be done. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view room

Great location, fantastic rooms and a great bar area inside and out. The staff were excellent, special mention to the door man and the waitress Lauren in the bar.
One small niggle when hotels provide wifi cover in the lobby why charge in the room when you have already paid a premium price for the room-just petty! Also valet parking was pricy in comparison with local parking.
Overall would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Upper rooms are better, try asking for a lake view

From the moment we pulled our car up to the Ritz Carlton, Toronto, we were enveloped in luxury! Everyone we dealt with, from the car valet, to the bellhop, to the front desk people, were gracious and friendly. Every time we returned from a day of sightseeing, the staff was smiling and asked about how our day was. On July 4th, they put out a candy "bar" flanked by red, white and blue balloons in honor of American Independence Day. This was a lovely touch! The room was amazing! The bed was comfy and the bathroom was huge! Tub and shower were separate. And the crowning touch that our 13 year old loved, was the TV IN the mirror!! The room was spacious and spotless!! Everything about our stay was lovely!!!
