“Always had a good experience”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

I've been to two of the locations several times and love the atmosphere, food, and of course beer selection! If you don't eat meat, I would recommend the salmon, it's my favorite thing on the menu! The beer selection is intimidating but amazing. I have always found the service to be very helpful and very nice.

“Delicious comfort food.”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

My family visited this restaurant on a recent trip to Toronto and were very happy with the high quality of food and the exceptional choices on the menu. I am not a beer drinker but my daughter suggested this fruity beer which was delicious! The menu ranged from fondue's to mussel's prepared 6 different ways. Hearty foods and large portions. I had the french onion soup which was the best I have had in a long time. Casual, upbeat atmosphere.

“Moules, frites and beer!!!”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

Tried this place twice on a recent trip to Toronto. The moules were amazing, cooked to perfection. Served in a huge cast iron pot, with the lid for your shells. The perfect presentation for moules. Try one of the three beer samplers, great way to dive into the massive beer selection. If you don't like moules, the place is worth a visit for the beer alone. Speciality beers from many countries, all served in the proper glassware for the beer style/brand. This is a must visit for any trip to Toronto. I went to the King West location, but there are several locations throughout the city.

“Excellent!”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

I recently had the chance to visit the Bier Markt on King Street and I have to say that I love this place. If you are a lover of beer, you will definitely appreciate the extensive beer menu with full description of the brew. The staff are extremely knowledgable and helpful and the cheese fondue is delcious and great for sharing.

“expensive beer with too much attitude”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

First of all, this place likes to maintain a line outside even when it's empty inside, to give the impression that it is very popular. It does this even in the rain or freezing cold.
Secondly, beer that you can find elsewhere at $6 per draught is $9 here.
Thirdly, the so called entertainment is some $100 a night band, that is obnoxiously loud and definitely not worth the premium added to the price of the "bier".
Finally, the menu is impractical and overly expensive. You will not find decent food here.
So my advice is if you have other options, don't go here.
