We went to Toronto to have a weekend getaway and celebrate our anniversary. Great location as we had dinner at the top of the CN Tower and were able to walk there in a few minutes. Staff was very, very attentive. Bar was great ! Rooms were super - one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Modern decor - Overall awesome experience.

Stayed at Le Germain for the Toronto Film Festival. It was a little farther from the screenings, but that was a great excuse to get a decent amount of exercise every day. Great beds, quiet rooms, a huge supermarket in the same building. The staff was friendly and helpful with the few things we needed while we were there. I would imagine it's noisier if you stay on the side next to arena, but fortunately we were on the far side of the hotel. Rooms were clean, well designed and missing the usual dings and stains that are the tell tale sign of careless management. Really good place. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We went to Toronto to celebrate our anniversary and we chose Le Germain Maple Leaf Square based mostly on the positive user reviews.

Although it is definitely not a cheap hotel, it is worth every penny. The staff was courteous and attentive, and the room was very comfortable. The bed was just perfect, I can't remember the last time I had such a good night's sleep.

The location is also convenient, just a couple of blocks from the CN Tower, next to Union Station and across the street from the Maple Leaf Square.

Very upscale and modern boutique hotel. Strong points are the location, large modern clean decor, Moulton Brown amenities. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Sophisticated lighting system. Best for those who value form. For example, chair for built in desk looks nice but is not adjustable, nor particularly comfortable. I had to sit on pillows to be comfortable. Valet parking staff most interested in chatting with each other, and this is not an easy area of town to get in or out of when sports events are scheduled...to say the least! Front desk staff seemed more concerned with appearing hip than being welcoming or anticipating/meeting needs of guests, IMO. Breakfast OK. Location means there is plenty of ambient noise, and a lot of light in room, even with blackout blinds. Enjoyed my stay, but once is likely enough.

Room Tip: Suggest you avoid any floor room 23, which is right beside massive outdoor sign.....very bright.

This is a very lovely hotel in a great part of town. We liked everything about the hotel except the competence of the room service staff. We stayed there 5 days and I don't recall they ever got a room service order correct. Something was always wrong -- sometimes we received another guest's order, other times they just left something off. Once they brought the wrong order and then returned with another wrong order. Some orders they botched were as complex as this: two scrambled eggs, toast and black tea. You would not expect they could get that wrong -- and they did, several times.

What the room service staff did excel in was making apologies. I think this reflects a lot of experience apologizing.
