“Go for Brunch!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

My boyfriend and I went to Beast for brunch on a recent trip to Toronto. Having seen that Anthony Bourdain ate here I knew it was a must for us. I love brunch and go out all the time in Boston but this was undoubtably the best brunch I've ever had! I really wish we lived closer. The homemade maple bacon donuts were incredible and the french toast with duck confit was unbelievably delicious. Definitely stop in for brunch and I'm sure dinner here would be equally enjoyable!

“Great atmosphere and scrumptious food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013

I have had a variety of dishes from the changing menu. Every dish has always been impressive and tasty. I have never had a bad experience here. I have eaten here 4-5 times in the last year and every time have been impressed. Absolutely a must try and repeat destination for a great meal.

“Perfect choice in a city with plenty of them......5 star experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

While planning a recent weekend in Toronto, I did a lot.....I mean a lot....of research to find just the right spot for a big dinner out. Living in Atlanta, I'm spoiled b/c the food scene is so good here...well, apparently the food scene is great there as well! In the end, I admit, I chose Beast Restaurant based on the recommendation of a certain well known TV travel show host. I'm glad I did. First of all...turns out Chef Scott Vivian grew up in Atlanta: First star. His wife Rachelle took my reservation call and could not have been nicer! Star #2. The space, about a dozen tables in cozy room with 2 amazing and provocative paintings to gape at: Star #3 The bread, the salad, the wild boar poutine, the venison AND flourless chocolate cake.....Star#4. All that, and 4 drinks for about $100......STAR NUMERO CINCO! Go here. Get off the main street and out of the high concept joints and go eat at Beast. You'll be glad you did.

“Beast makes non-meat eaters happy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

Tucked away, just off the Queen West strip, sits this charming post-bistro local. Neighbours hit happy hour frequently for great Ontario wines, fresh oysters and tapas. Owners live on the street and cater quality ingredients, always including great fish and inventive, delicious veggie sides. Brunches line up. Terrific patio on residential street, everything works together well. Reserve.

“Tapas-style neighborhood gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

Everything you could want in a neighborhood restaurant. Portions are large enough to share with plenty of choices. Our party of three each came away with a fav entrée without putting a hurtin' on the wallet. Great times, great eats. Definite do-over.
