We camped out at this hotel just for a night out with the kiddies. We were looking for something close to home, with a pool (important), and cheap, and this hotel seemed to fit the bill. It also had decent reviews from others on this site. Upon entering the lobby it was terribly dated and the furniture was dirty. The elevators were rickety and also dirty and the carpeting needs replacing. They fill the hallways with air freshener that smelled not so good. Luckily, there was no scent in the room. The room on the other hand was surprisingly nice and clean and so was the pool area. So I have to say it scores points for where it counts.

Clearly this hotel is meant for the business traveler in the area because it was completely empty on a Saturday night. We were at the pool for at least a couple hours and not a soul in sight. The workout room overlooking the pool had the lights off. While conveniently located near the highway, the hotel is not really close to anything noteworthy except Fairview Mall and it would be a hike to get there by foot. The restaurant on the premises, a Fox and Fiddle, ended up being closed. A sign on the door indicated closed until further notice. So if you happen to stay and need food, you’re either gonna have to drive or order in. We ordered in. The complimentary continental breakfast was a complete joke and we couldn’t bring ourselves to touch it. Would I stay again? I don’t think so because it was so eerily desolate and there are way better camp grounds in Toronto to choose from.

I read a lot of beaming reviews mostly bases on "wow 4 star at this price" but the problem is this isn't a true 4 star. Room is spacious and renovated, bathroom standard not 4 star, staff robotic, breakfast impossible to be 4 star. Bottomline hotel is okay but you can stay in 3 star hotels that are much better.

At this price point it is hard to beat this hotel. We stayed here last year and will stay again. You should see what else is out there for this kind of money (under $100) if you shop. Best of all it includes a breakfast with juice, yogurt, milk, teas, coffee, cereal, full fresh fruit, toast, jam sweet breads and jams.
Our room was clean and we had a small issue with the thermostat but it was our fault not theirs. They dealt with it promptly. The room was clean and hving developed a very serious medical emergency the front desk staff moved us away farom most of the other guests as I had to spend three days in bed.
There is free internet, a pool and newspapers. I look forward to staying here again next trip.
The only issue it is not convenient if you don't have a car. It is on a bus route though

Quiet, large clean room, King sized bed, great night sleep, breakfast included, staff very helpful and polite, parking is only $5 a night in a huge safe parking lot.. have a great restaurant, cheap pints of premium beer, great food (highly recommend the happy hour appetizers, HUGE portions, perfect before the marathon we ran)
would definitely come back.

Service was great; couldn't ask for more. Daily breakfast was superb; we just loved the croissant. Coffee seemed to have an aroma different from the ordinary brew.
Room had enough space to move around. We loved the king-sized bed; lots of room to stretch our tired bodies, considering we flew in from California.
Bathroom space is quite limited.
Hotel location is very accessible to and from the airport, shopping centers, and Niagara Falls. The trip to Niagara enabled us to view the countryside.
Lest we forget, your front desk staff are very friendly, courteous, and accommodating from the very day we checked-in until we check-out . We take off our hats to Frances, and Chris for a job well done. Keep up the good work! Yorkland Hotel is very lucky to have staff like you.

My familly and I have stayed here for three days. It was recomended to me by a friend. The first night was busy so the next morning there were a lot of people have breakfast at the same time. The next two nights not as busy but still a lot of guests. The room was large in the bedroom area, but a little small in the bathroom. There was a small fridge a safe Ironing board an iron, coffee and tea and hair dryer. The room was very clean with no bed bugs. When we first arrived there were dishes in the hall but about 1 or 2 hours later they were gone. ( Who started the dishes in the hall thing anyway-and then complain there are dishes in the hall?) We stayed here at night then visited the ontario science centre the first day and wonderland the second and third day. Both places were less than half an hour away and easy to get to. The breakfast had muffins pasteries apples bananas cereal orange juice coffee and toast. Not the largest breakfast but more than i expected for the price we payed for the room with free breakfast. The pool was large but the liner was rippled from poor instalation. The restaurant was very good. My son couldn't finish his chicken and fries so he didn't want his ice cream that was part of the meal. The waitress said we could come back anytime that night and he could have the ice cream. We didn't go back down but this was the kind of service we got all three days from all the staff. Very accommodating. There are some little thing that i could pick at like the elevator buttons being stained or the odd stain in the hallway. But my overall experience was very good and would recomend this place to anyone that wants good service and good value for the price.

This place was so busy at times I just wanted to scream watch your children please. Wasn't so impressed with the room, just looked dirty and the sink was. No blowdryer in the washroom???? Breakfast in the morning was watery coffee bruised apples and picked through pastries. I recommed Tim Hortons around the corner. The alarm was set for 7am and was woken from that. That is something that staff should be checking as they clean the room. I was pissed.
