Days Inn Toronto East Beaches

Knowing this was a trendy area of Toronto, I thought I would give it a try based upon location and price. I wasn't disappointed. Certainly not a fancy hotel, but clean, cozy and excellent staff. A small place of about 50 rooms with free parking in the heart of the city. Super value. Close to almost anything you would want to go to in Toronto. I booked a smoking room, and even though I smoke, I hate the smell of stale smoke. I found the room a bit musty and the housekeeping staff cheerfully and immediately freshened it up. I asked for extra towels, pillows and again they were there right away. The next day, I woke with a headache and felt I needed more time to rest. I called the front desk to ask if I could check out an hour later and they said no problem and there was no surcharge. Conveniently there's a pub/restaurant right next door. Rooms are clean, excellent location, free parking, continental breakfast and great staff. Excellent value

We stayed here recently for three nights and probably will pick another one if we were to go back. The worst part was the really stale and limited breakfast. Why even bother if you don't care what you serve? The corridors were dim and dull. There was no pool and heck, not even a laundry. The only good part was, we barely spent any time at the hotel during the day. For the price we paid ($85), we could have gotten a little deal. The location was, however, OK.

This was the worst hotel we ever stayed in - we checked out after the first night. It was very dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. Neither my husband nor I slept a wink. I was about to fall asleep when a bug ran across my arm ( not sure what kind but I was freaked out.) The door knob on our room was broken and wouldn't lock and when we complained the manager, he said "Oh, it is fine." We should have left immediately, but we had been driving all day and the kids were about to pass out. I would have rather slept in the car!!!!!!!
