Great location, but rooms are 30 - 40% smaller than usual Holiday Inn space. Looked recently redone (and resized) but a number of things needed attention : Missing closet door, curtain too small for window, tub stopper not working at all, fancy adjustable shower slipped to bottom (awkward for 6'6" husband), burn marks in carpet of non-smoking room and exhaust fan in bathroom not functioning. The bed was not very comfortable, unless you prefer very firm and the pillows went almost flat. Also, pool area quite chilly.

Room Tip: If you don't mind everything smaller, no problem. If you want a tub they only have a few rooms t...

Stayed here in September 2013 for a whole month. Lets list the positives and negatives:

Positives:
1. Got an excellent rate.
2. Very near to College station just a 2 mins walk.
3. Rooms were clean and were cleaned regularly.
4. Friendly staff.
5. Heart of downtown.
6. Good breakfast option.

Negatives:
1. Really small rooms.
2. Bad options for lunch and dinner.
3. Rates can fluctuate at times.

Otherwise a very good hotel will give 4 out of 5 stars.

We stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn and the room was very clean and ready for us on time at 3:00pm.
The hotel is very central, 20 feet from the College subway station that will take you down to the Eaton Centre or up to Yorkville if that's what you're looking for.

There was a refrigerator in the room. The bathroom is TINY - my sister and I couldn't put our makeup on together, but when you consider how reasonable this hotel is for downtown Toronto -- there is absolutely nothing to complain about. The lobby is lovely and there are many local restaurants within walking distance.

Room Tip: a higher floor will give you a good view - particularly if you can get one that faces south.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Location was almost perfect for easy access to everything downtown Toronto.
The room was nice and clean but a little too dark.

Some said their checkin counter were slow and not friendly based on a previous tripadvisor review, but this is not exactly true.
A Chinese lady helped me out with the checked in process; I have to say, she's friendly and amazing.
I asked her a lot like the knowledge of IHG system as well as the tourist information. Very helpful and patience.

My only complaint was the guy at information desk who keeps persuading me to get a taxi from hotel to airport which cost about 60 something dollars.... Subway services really saves me a lot instead and pretty fast.

Location is perfect, service was great, my only criticisms were the room: a bit small (they should wall mount the awkwardly positioned tele) and a strange draft near the window: the room was warm enough but if you tried to sit at the desk you would freeze from the draft. It's possible I got a dud room as I didn't ask and it was the coldest it's been for more than ten years there at the time.

Still recommend it, I was very happy.

This was a good hotel in Toronto. Near some good shops and only a 10-20 minute walk down to Dundas Square and close to attractions and a subway outside the hotel. Rooms were good and clean. Would recommend.
