Owner description: Landscape designer Julie Messervy and a group of landscape architects from Toronto's Parks and Recreation Department designed the waterfront's Music Garden in such a way that it actually interprets in nature Bach's First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello. Starting off with the curves and bends of the riverscape, guests make their way through six sections of the garden ending at the Giant Grass Steps, which form a curved amphitheater where performances take place in the summer.

“Beautiful little place, will look better as it warms up!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2014

Went by here in April while it was still pretty cold. Although the flowers weren't at their best yet, the sculptures were nice and the park was well laid out.

“Great Piece of Green Space”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

A really nice garden using largely native plants with each section aiming to represent a piece of classical music. A clever matching of gardens and music. Toronto needs more green spaces like this.

Just minutes from the city on the lake front. Free music concerts from exceptional musicians in the summer.

“music in the music garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

In the summer months Toronto is converted into a city of music and culture. All of August there are free concerts given on the lake front. bring a chair, your dinner, a bottle of wine and some spare cash for the pass-around, to keep these concerts happening. The people sitting around you will talk to you and share your experience. Try not to pay too much attention to all the consturction going on on the Waterfront. As they say - there are only 2 seasons in Toronto; Winter and Construction!

“Beautiful Garden!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is a small but interesting garden just along the hike and bike path next to the water. There are a variety of flowers and tree species that are beautiful. Went there with a friend and we ended up taking quite a few pics of her around the place. Great stop when biking along the waterway!
