The Group of Seven, the large display spaces, and of course the building itself. It is affordable and fun and there are great green spaces and coffee shops to reflect on what you have seen. It is a must do if you are in Toronto, go early or late to beat the crowds.

Took the kids (they weren't that impressed). Was surprised at the level of the Art. Thought some was amazing, but a lot more wasn't inspiring.

I just saw a very informative show of Henry Moore and Francis Bacon, mostly work that was done during and after WWII. It was very well put together with just the right amount of writing to help understand what these guys were up to. After the show a nice snack of espresso coffee poured over gelato and then finished off with the lovely work of the group of seven which I could look at over and over.

You'll see a little of everything in this recently renovated place, from Henry Moore sculptures to Picassos, and of course Canadiana, of which the most celebrated examples are here. But it is so much more: contemporary art shows of a world class nature, even pop culture icons (recently, David Bowie). Highly recommended.

Best museum in Toronto. Outstanding permanent collection, plus special exhibits worth seeing. Their restaurant "Frank" is excellent.
