“Must visit when in Toronto”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

This is a really good gallery with some very interesting art. They have a large collection of the Group of Seven plus other artists. Occasionally they get special presentations such as Ai Wei Wei and Bowie, that are always well presented.

“Ai Wei Wei All the Way”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Awesome installation from this fascinating artist. The huge glass gallery behind the new facade is beautiful, and the cafe/restaurant in the old Grange mansion is tasty, elegant, and affordable. I'm going back again before AWW is gone!

“World class exhibits in a world class building”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

The permanent collection of Group of Seven is worth the visit. The new Frank Gehry extension is wondrous. The restaurant "Frank" provides a perfect stop and the gift shop offers a wide variety of chic momentos.
The current exhibits - Ai WEI WEI and David Bowie is...are worth the trip to Toronto! Not to be missed.both exhibits are excellently curated.

“Another day at the AGO”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

We are biased. We have an out-of-town membership. We were able to see the Ai Weiwei exhibit before Bowie arrived and will return to see Bowie after Weiwei has left. Always fascinating, but especially Weiwei where many pieces are basically "Please touch."

“Fanastic collection and special exhibits”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

We visited the museum to see the special David Bowie exhibit and it was well worth it. If you get a chance to pick up tickets, do it! The rest of the museum was also impeccable and a very pleasant way to spend several hours.
