Lots of pieces to see and lots of pieces being brought in and changed on a regular basis. A great afternoon viewing so many different kinds of art. There's definitely something for everyone.

Lots of parking close by.

For its price it's a must see in Toronto. Beautiful collection of art, photography, and sculptures with lots of interesting historical background.

Our premiere art gallery really is special with its wonderful new Frank Gehry make-over, excellent special exhibitions and fine permanent collection - the Canadian collection is quite magnificent and the gallery boasts some excellent representative pieces that are thoughtfully displayed. If you are looking for lunch, the high-end Frank restaurant is excellent but avoid the cafeteria - you're much better off leavbing the gallery and finding something to eat on Dundas St or up on Baldwin

I am a contributing member so the admission of $25 was waived. The Florentine Art exhibition will not appeal to everyone but is accessible to all especially if you invest in the audio tour. Sadly, our Easter Sunday morning visit, as is the practice, meant exiting through the exhibition souvenir shop. The items on offer seemed to reflect a mercantile desperation as there was much with no obvious connection with the art. Premium priced kitchen utensils from Italy are a bit of a stretch! But the 'gag' genre Jesus items on sale are in very poor taste, irreverent and offensive in a way which can only be construed as an ill- considered send-up of Christianity. Low brow does not begin to describe the Jesus finger puppet which belongs to the South Park mentality. Hardly what one expects of the AGO. Or the Last Supper card which has a caption to the effect that the soufflé is to die for. I am shocked and appalled at the poor judgement that led to the selection of the items on sale. My recommendation is that they be removed forthwith to retain the reputation of the gallery. The exhibition may be worth a visit but the gift shop is an affront to the sensitivities of any practicing or non- practicing Christian.

Enjoyed a trip to the AGO this weekend, and it was made even nicer by the friendly, helpful volunteer who talked with us about a couple of artists and their works. Lovely interaction, very low key. We did miss the exhibits in the atrium, I hope they will soon be replaced by something that can take the sun ... steel or stone works perhaps. Too beautiful a space to leave empty.
