We were there for the Picasso exhibit in particular, however, I have been there on other occasions as well and have been equally impressed each time. A great museum that is laid out very well - visitor friendly. Be sure to check out the gift shop while you're there - many wonderful one-of-a-kind items for sale.

Amazing art collections of mostly unknown painters for Europeans, great collection of some native painters (Emily Carr ...). Very nice museum-shop. Visit: August 2010.

A modestly sized, manageable museum in which to kill a few hours. The building, designed by Gehry is delightful, with plenty of nooks to explore. The collection is not world-class, but there are plenty of memorable and fantastic works, including a portrait and bronze bust of the Marchesa di Casti.

Save yourself $20 and visit on Wednesday evening between 6pm and 8.30pm. There's a good collection of colonial Canadian art as well as some European greats such as Monet, Modigliani, Degas, Rodin, and Chagall. Also a good gift store. Well worth the visit!

Really enjoy going to this museum. Always something new as well as there regular collection . Can't see it all in a day.
Be sure to check out the attached restaurant " Frank", it is delicious. Nearly as visually and palatably artful as the collections in the museum,
