“Love to go to Special Exhibits”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Convenient to get to AGO from University subway line - a short walk west. AGO regularly brings special exhibits which my friend and I love to attend after work on a weekday. Tickets can be purchased online to save line-ups and to manage attendance numbers. Have seen Chagall; King Tut; China Warriors special exhibits in the past 13 months...all very enjoyable and interesting.

“Sunday Afternoon at the AGO”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

My wife, daughter and I visited the AGO; this is the first time we have been to the AGO since its redevelopment. We spent 4 hours visiting the various galleries and enjoyed our time at the AGO. Impressed by the architecture, we thoroughly enjoyed the Canadian galleries. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

“A very fine gallery in a stylish revamped building”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

I really like the AGO. It has a wonderful feel to it without being pretentious. The building is calming and sleek. And the contents are really shown to good effect. There is a steady turnover of exhibitions and, for thoe so inclined, a wonderful display of the ship model collection of benefactor Kenneth Thompson on the bottom floor. On our last trip we saw an excellent exhibit on early Soviet propaganda posters. The AGO also has an excellent restaurant and cafe and a well stocked shop. I believe it to be a great credit to Toronto and Ontario that such a fine public institution as this is available for enjoyment.

“Something for everyone”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

A great variety of art works from many parts of the world can be found in this beautifully designed building. Special exhibits come and go as well. A cafeteria in the basement has delicious comfort food at reasonable prices and there is an extensive gift shop.
