I joined a bus tour from Boston-Toronto and we stayed at this hotel. It was clean and well maintained. They had a large indoor pool and a cafe that offered a breakfast buffet. There were not a lot of choices but it was pretty decent. if you don't want to pay $14 for the buffet then you can just walk across the street to a Tim Horton's. I had a very clean room and there was no nise even if our room faced the road- no complaints here.

I just spent two nights at this hotel. Got in just after midnight and when I checked in, I asked the front desk clerk if he could break a twenty so that I could buy a drink from a machine and I was told they don't carry any cash. No petty cash??? They call themselves and urban resort and they can't give change?
I got a room on the 6th floor. Room was okay but the windows don't open, not even a little so no fresh air on the "Executive" floor. I opened the doors on the tv stand to watch tv and found a couple of liquor bags jammed against the tv. Obviously the room wasn't given the once over when it was last cleaned.
The room prices are decent for Toronto but the service there is really lacking.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 4th or 5th floor so that you have a balcony and can get some fresh air in your room.

Just returned from the Don valley hotel after spending 8 nights in Toronto. Toronto is an expensive City and eating out can be costly. You can pay £6 for a pint of Lager and £8 for a glass of wine so check prices before ordering. The Don Valley Hotel is around 40 minutes on public transport from the downtown district but catch the number 34 bus outside the hotel to Edlington subway then catch the south bound to union station in the heart of Toronto. Buy your ticked for 3 dollars on the bus and travel all the way on a single ticket . Try to avoid the rush hour !. The hotel corridors are a little tired but the rooms are spacious and comfortable . The buffet breakfast is good. The staff are friendly although sometimes a little vague in there responses. Nice gym and indoor pool. The restaurant is fine and the burgers are brilliant. i would say there again without any concerns.

Room Tip: Some rooms have been refurbished but the older rooms are fine

I guess service is questionnable. We had ask for a renovated room, however, we ended up with a old, unclean room. The pillows had hair on them and the carpet looked like it had not been clean in a while. The AC was very loud and kept us awake.

In a 2 night stay, we were contemplating on changing hotels.

Hope that all their rooms are not like this....
