“Beautiful old building with beautiful grounds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

Osgoode Hall is a beautiful old building that houses appeals courts and the Law Society of Upper Canada. If you love 19th century architecture then it might be worth a visit, but it is a working court building so there is only so much you can see. The grounds are one of the nicer spots in downtown Toronto, and in the summer there are a lot of wedding photos taken here. And that is about it.

“Great old building - worth seeing the architecture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

Osgoode is a classicly consttucted building with amazing detailed mouldings and ceilings and has the feel of an old time courthouse. Well worth the visit when you can get a tour, or even better when court is in session.

“Eat the Butter Tarts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

you need a reservation, unless you have been in Court that day or the staff knows you. But worth the reservation - great staff, great prices for very good food, best butter tart in town.

A neo-classical designed building adjacent to the New City Hall. I haven't been inside but the grounds & architecture are beautiful.

“Hidden Gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2012

This is where lawyers eat when they are at trial. The room has almost a medieval feel to it. Those who love Rumpole of the Bailey re-runs would love the atmosphere. The room is one of the most historic in Toronto. The food is excellent these days and the service is always prompt.
Not for a date, unless you are dating a lawyer or woul-be lawyer, but if you are looking for a place with atmosphere, very good food and reasonable prices, it is a hidden gem.
