“Beautiful building”
Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

This was a nice alternative to the constant hustle and bustle of the main tourist attractions. The architecture of the building was nice and it didn't look out of place amongst all the skyscrapers and modern buildings

“Ah, Romanesque Revival! How beautiful!”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

The third stop on our self-guided walking tour of downtown Toronto was at the steps of Old City Hall. What a lovely building! We were just stopping by, so we didn't look into whether there might be tours of the interior - we didn't even wander into the lobby to see for ourselves.

In any case, we were impressed with the beautiful 19th century architecture. I have long been a big fan of Romanesque Revival architecture, with the rounded arches and such. This one is certainly a stellar example of that style!

We were there to contest a parking ticket but could not help but admire the old girl's bones. The wide staicase and polished bannisters, the old tiling ar all charming. The building has an interesting history and structure. In winter we have been to Sound and Light shows that were excellent.

“Nice and old”

Nice old castle like building. Its currently a court building. Its open everyday. Just read the signs for which door to use to enter. There isnt much else to say.

“Nice building”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

It was nice to look at, well designed a complete contrast to the new. A tip for photography, there is a glass skyscrapper next to it and if your standing on the sidewalk facing the new town hall and look at the skyscrapper you can see the clock tower reflected back. It's a cool effect.
