“Nice Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

We stayed at the Marriot for 4 nights. a very nice, clean hotel. We stayed in a king room on the 5th floor, very clean and nicely decorated. the room also had a small fridge and coffee machine. we shopped next door at Longos grocery store which has and awesome selection of fresh food and did not go for the expensive breakfast buffet and optied to eat in our room. the hotel is in a great location downtown. We walked every where or there is a subway stop next door. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in downtown Toronto. look for the AAA pricing, it saved us a lot of money.

Was in town for business during Ontario spring break, first time at the hotel and everything was very good. Matisse (their restaurant) had good food and drink and a friendly bartender.

The wifi worked great but it was $13 per night

The hotel is located in an upscale shopping area and its was not a far walk to see other nice areas of the city.

Regarding the room, desk was big and the shower was fantastic.

My friend and I just stayed at the Marriott on Bloor for a night and went into the Matisse bar for a few drinks before leaving. Julie seemed genuinely interested in how our stay had been, and then inquired if we had transportation to the airport. When we said we didn't yet, she offered right away to set it up for us! She was very helpful and friendly and we hope to see her next time we are in town staying at the Marriott!

Location - right in the path, easy access to everything.

temperature- room wouldn't hold the temp I set thermostat at. Kept waking up to a cold room.

shower - either super hot or cold.

concierge lounge not well serviced. No lids for coffee cups, not bottled water on 2 different occaisions, couldn't make a cup of tea, not well staffed.

Great hotel. I have stayed in this location several times. Look for Maya at the front desk. She is always eager to help. She is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and events making out of towners feel like they are already locals.

Me and some business associates had dinner at the Matisse bar. We were so lucky to have Alivia serve us. She was friendly, knowledgeable about wine and other beverages, and explained to food menu with ease. You should pay her a visit on your next trip to Toronto.

Good location, we've stayed lots of times. Very helpful service. Good room, TV, coffee maker, pillow choices, mattress. We go to visit family and this central location is at the underground which is great in bad weather, lots of great stores, fun shopping in Yorkville or lots of underground shops. AAA and Seniors discounts are helpful. No complaints and we plan to stay again. Polite housekeeping staff and clean rooms make it just right for a weekend stay.

Room Tip: We've been both near and far from the elevators and rooms have been nice and quiet.
