“"Peaceful place"”

What a beautiful place to go to relax and just 10 minutes from the city. The sound of the water on the beach is so relaxing. The view we had of Toronto is terrific. I recommend this little island park to everyone who goes in that big city and have some time to visit and relax. What a "great" day we had!

“Great for Kids of all Ages!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

Most children and adults that are young at heart like a visit to Toronto Island Park. It is a fun trip on the ferries that serves as the only way to get to the island. On a sunny day it provides a great view and photo opportunity of the Toronto downtown skyline. The park has an amusement ride area all on the scale of size for children, trains, cars, boats, etc. Tickets can be bought in various quantities and the different rides cost different amounts of tickets according difficulty to the ride.
There is a beach with change rooms and lockers, the water can be warmer than the other pars of the lake Ontario beaches as there is a breakwater that creates a sheltered area that warms up in the summer sun.
There is a children's garden that encourages the children to water the plants! They have staff helping children make crafts that they can take hone. Follow Franklin the frog and you will find the garden.

A great place to spend on a sunny day. There is a Pizza Pizza outlet where lunches and rinks can be purchased and there are plenty of picnic table scattered throughout the park. They is a children playground that is busy with young children.

This a real change from trudging through shopping centers or downtown streets, it is a nice green oasis away from the noise and traffic of downtown Toronto.

“a place for kids and for grown ups”

the ride on the ferry gives a great view of Toronto
the park is too wide for walking but bikes can be rented
if you are on foot stay in the center part where the restaurants are
visit the top of the pier into Lake Ontario
Centerville is great if you have children with you

“A great view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

We visited the CN Tower on a sunny day and, although it was busy and it took a few minutes to get our tickets, we were into the speedy elevator and up in no time. There are two levels to visit. The first option is the main deck that everyone goes to and there two levels- a completely enclosed level with panoramic views of the city, souvenirs and a reasonably-priced restaurant (also with views), and a level below it that has a meshed-in outdoor area where you can really feel the wind. This lower level also has a glass floor that daring people (mostly kids!) walk over and jump on as they look way down to the ground below. The other option is the sky pod, a higher, smaller observation deck that some of the guests decide to upgrade to and take a special elevator to. The views are supposed to be amazing up there, but we stayed on the main level and it was more more than adequate.

“Wow! Great Views of the City and a nice getaway from the city as well.”

This truly was a nice park! Very scenic and such a cool, chill place. Had fun just walking around the park. We visited one of the restaurants there where they served iced cream and other little snacks and it was good. Nice place to spend the day if you just want to relax.
