“Peace and Quiet”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

We took the ferry over to the Island. This was very good. The Islands are really peaceful. The trees, flowers and wildlife beautiful. Take a picnic, sit and enjoy the stunning views. Great place to take some fantastic photos of the Toronto skyline.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

We took the ferry over and spent an afternoon on the island. Although alot of the attractions were closed for the season, the gardens were still beautiful. We rented a tandem bike and explored the island that way - fun!

“peaceful and a nice chnage from the city hustle and bustle”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

When family from ouit of town comes to visit, I like to take them on the boat tours around the idland and then get off, go for a nice walk and see Toronto skyline from a short distance. No one has ever been disappointed. Lots of nature like birds, children laughing and playing...feel good day

“Toronto's Little Island Paradise”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

This was return visit to Toronto for us and was number one on our family's list of things to do again. This beautiful, traffic-free environment is a great place to unwind. Rent a bike and explore. The east end has some delightful houses and there are several beaches along the southern lake shore, as well as plenty of places to take in a snack or meal. When your visit is over, you are rewarded with the best views of Toronto's spectacular skyline, as you head back on one of the three ferry routes. An absolute 'must do' when in Toronto. Leave yourself plenty of time and be prepared for long queues/lines for the ferries. It's well worth the wait!

“nice although could have more”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

The toronto islands are quite idyllic, and nice during our off-peak visit (apparently it's ridiculously busy during the summer). You pay for the ferry to take you to any of the 3 docks on the islands and its worth renting a bike, or bringing your own. The beaches are nice and you get great views of the toronto skyline as you take the ferry. There could be more food options available but is definitely worth a daytrip.
