I like picking an area and exploring it on foot. The Danforth was perfect. I started west of the Bloor Street viaduct and walk across it onto The Danforth proper. As background info I found by Googling, an old walking tour, article on the addition of the "Luminous Veil" on the viaduct, the Toronto library also has a short history of the Danforth available online, lastly it makes me want to read Michael Ondaatjie's novel, In the Skin of a Lion. Great area fully of interesting shops, restaurants and history. You can walk up on side of the street and down the other. Great Saturday morning in Toronto.
