“Nice family afternoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

Riverdale farm is such an odd gem in Toronto. I love that we have a little farm, that's free to visit, surrounded by elegant Victorian mansions. It's a lovely place to bring kids, though I don't have any and adore it anyway.

A small gem in the east end of downtown, Riverdale Farm was very enjoyable to stroll through! If you have kids, bring your children!

“Farm in the city center”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2012

You can reach the farm by TTC and it's free. Do not raise your expectations. It is not a zoo. It is a well maintained farm property up to now in the city center. As most farmers have cows, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry in their farms, that is it. Great to take children to a real farm in just a few hours and the farm and the adjacent park stretching to the Don Valley are also interesting for adults in hot summer afternoons with its trees and ponds.

“A farm in the middle of the City”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

Great to take our grand-children, visiting animals with children is always a + they get to walk around, see the animals on hand and it makes for a nice few hours out of the house, there are several restaurants in the area, there is a Tim Hortons, which is priced right, and ideal for children who may simply want a donut, or timbit, rather then going into a restaurant were they see this and that, order this or that, then leave most of it on the plate.
Better still pack some foods that you know they will like and eat,

“Great family experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

The number of animals now on the property is nothing compaired to what it use to be. However if you are looking for a free, fun play to bring the kids that will create many long lasting memories Riverdale Farm is great.
