Owner description: Kensington Market is just to the west of Chinatown and is the bohemian heart of Canada, based in a multicultural history it is now a flurry of independent stores, restaurants, bars and shops that bring the world's foods to one tightly knit community. You can find any food on the planet in Kensington Market. It is not an uncommon thing to find a festival in Kensington Market making the bohemian party atmosphere complete. Tip for Kensington, take the transit. Streets are packed and traffic is insane, parking is non-existent.

“Cool and relax place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2014 via mobile

It is very peculiar that this is just an area of maybe 2-3 blocks where you'll see small shops in front of houses, bars and restaurants, and everything on a hippie-style and relax mood.
All kinds of food available, souvenir shops and more. 2 hours will be enough with time to eat included. Be aware that during winter, not all shops are available.

“A must on our list!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2014

We went to Kensington because I really wanted to see the Al Waxman stature (King of Kensington!!). We were running out of time but had driven through on a day trip and then after seeing the sights, decided we had to go!

So glad we did! Very eclectic, got some funky iron on t-shirts made for the teens and loved the gelato.

Culture, meets culture, crossed with culture. Food, music, art, artists...there is nothing more to say.
