We walk or cycle past Edwards' Gardens a lot - it's always like stumbling on a surprise Oasis in the middle of a hike. Lots of blooms and rare species on offer. A super spot to take a break or a bit of exercise and explore.

Nice place to picnic with sandwiches. No BBQs. Busy on summer weekends. At the top of the park there are rolling hills and a waterfall.

This is one garden that I have visited every spring, summer and, sometimes, in winter too for the last 45 years. The Edwards Garden is set in a ravine connected with other ravines by hiking and cycling trails, leading all the way to shores of Lake Ontario. It always inspired me to appreciate each flower, from the beds of flowers of every type (roses, wildflowers), to appreciate their colors, enjoy their smell and feel their texture, at different times of the day and under different light effects. While mind is busy looking for a distinctive flower(s) to photograph, camera always continued clicking without making any disturbing noises so as not to hurt the feelings of other flowers.
Edwards Garden is located on Wilket Creek, well maintained by the Municipality of Toronto since 1956. Garden's well manicured lawns and flower beds are very popular with the newly weds.
In Fall, the Garden with its Maple trees, on both sides of the ravine, turns to a different display - sharp red and yellow fall colors to please their visitors before the winter sets in. Don't forget the spring blossom.
