“One of the best places in Toronto”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

You have not only the beaches in front he lake, but also shops and restaurants on Queen St. And the shops are the "plastic cookie cutter" shops that you can find in a mall. They are different. Each of them has its own style and personalty. Don't miss it !

“A village within a city”

Fancy a stroll along the beach front, window shopping and a cafe-crawl? You'll find all this within a few-hundred yards on and near Queen Street East. Change cafe- to pub crawl in the evening, plus an eclectic choice of restaurants.
Spring and fall are my favourite seasons there. Parking may be found on side-streets if you'r lucky.

“What a cool area...”

Went down Queen St for the 25th jazz festival. Coolest setup for a jazz festival I have ever seen. Eat at Castro's, small, vegetarian friendly, cold beer. Try the curry chickpea burrito with rice. Delicious!!!

lots of unique shops, great park for kids. excellent views from lake front area. did not swim but there were a handful of people swimming, keep in mind it is a lake. $20 cab ride from downtown or ride the trolley for $3 per person and $0.75 for kids.
