I've been living here for the past 20yrs. I like the fact it's close to the water being from the East coast originally.

Away from most visited parts of city. Great boardwalk, and interesting shops and restaurants on Queen Street West.

This is a great location for a stroll along the boardwalk, particularly if you have a dog. There is a fantastic and large fenced off leash area on the beach, allowing for water access. The boardwalk goes for a great distance and, whether in summer or the colder seasons, there are many people about. Lots of activity. Just up on queen street, one can stroll in and out of all of the lovely shops and boutiques and you can grab a bite to eat in any number of interesting restaurants and cafes. Lovely way to spend a Saturday.

So whether you're looking for a small pub or quaint little restaurant, Queen St. certainly has lots to choose from.

And being just a few minutes walk from the beach, a nice boardwalk stroll after lunch certainly makes for a great day!
