A place of beauty and sanctuary in a troubled hurly-burly city.

This is a small church that is hidden behind a lot of buildings. In a courtyard setting, the church of the holy trinity is a small building behind the Eaton Center. During lunch, the church cafeteria sells food were the profits go to supporting various outreach programs.

I had often gone to Trinity Square when in Toronto and was fascinated by the church and it's history and present progressive views. I happened one day to find the church open and went in. I was impressed with the whole atmosphere of the church and found the stained glass to be very beautiful. It could be a little church tucked away in a corner of Paris or London.

Although I am from Toronto, I had not known about the Church of Holy Trinity until it had been discussed in a lecture at the university I attend. Upon having learned the remarkable history behind this church and the wonderful work it continues to do today, the physical building itself is quite remarkable. Engulfed by large buildings surrounding it, primarily the Eaton's Centre, the church appears a quite sanctuary amidst the noise and confusion of the city. The architecture of the actual building and it's surroundings is phenonmenal. There is a quaint cafe located nearby, streams and greenery that beautifully surround the church, and much more that should be embraced by visitors who are passing by...
