“worn and feels like it as well”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

Had a recent stay at the Radisson Hotel Toronto East. Parking was $8 which is not well posted on the CC website.

Room was quite quiet considering proximity to 401 expressway, sadly the AC/Heat unit was one of the noisy in-ceiling units just as one enters the doorway. (Is it just me or do those type of units ALWAYS operate terrible??!!)
Thankfully opening window cooled room down before we went to bed.

Bed was horrible, someone had removed the top to the sleepnumber bed, which we didn't realize until ~2am at which point we weren't going to move rooms.

We did not eat at the the hotel restaurant.

The hotel was ok for driving to downtown Toronto, simply took the nearby Don Valley Parkway which I hear we lucked out on as traffic was light during our visit.
I personally liked the area, lots of good ethnic strip mall restuarants as well as the chains if that is your thing. Also a couple of nearby decent pubs (within walking (4 blocks) if you are going to do some drinking)

We have just stayed at this hotel as part of a first visit from the UK on a business trip. Not their fault that we possibly chose the wrong location in Toronto. Staff were really welcoming, helpful, polite and friendly. Rooms more comfortable than the exterior of the hotel belies. whilst located at a key interstate intersection, road noise was not really an issue. Large comfortable bed, good business in room working space. Free Wifi - we couldn't get it to work, but that was more to do with our company's UK network, than the hotel's facilities. Friendly staff in the bar.

If this were the right location for travellers (we just were not familiar with the landscape of where we needed to be) the hotel is ripe for an external makeover, looking quite tired on line, and in the flesh on arrival, looking even worse. This is however no reflection on the staff, who could not have been more accommodating.

Room Tip: Any poor/none ratings above are as a result of not having time to experience - eg we did not have br...

I recently stayed here on a 10 night stay for business. I did take advantage of the e upgrade and the room is rather good. I wanted a fridge, it was there. I wanted good quality pillows, they were there and loads of them. I wanted a comfortable bed it was adjustable to suit.

Bathroom was ok, fixtures for a superior room are a bit rickety. Nice quality products to use.

In every hotel I wish the staff would leave my products on the counter. I don't like things to be touched. They were placed on a towel for no obvious reason. I moved them and it was not repeated.

What I don't like about the hotel is the location, I suppose if you drive it is ok, but as a pedestrian trying to walk into the area at night it is poorly lit and there is no sidewalk. Parking lot is in a poor state of repair.

Desk staff are very helpful in the daytime, less so in the evening.

Our room was great. Sleep number beds, lots of space, clean, etc. however, the walls between hotel rooms are VERY thin and we were kept up most of the night by a teen party next door. We called front desk twice but they didn't seem to help.
When we checked in, we asked about the in-house restaurant. The guy checking us in gave us a menu and said the food was good. Turns out, the restaurant is CLOSED on weekends! Don't understand why he wouldn't tell us that.
We ate at the lounge/bar. Service was good, good was awful.
Overall, for the price we paid it was a good deal, and if we ever state there again we would request a room high up and away from the elevator.

Last minute stay because of the hurricane warning. Was not looking forward to it.The staff at the hotel changed my outlook.Everybody was very friendly. The older lady at the bar was very good and so were the two desk agents in the morning when I walked in.Got a good room on a higher floor with a view to the busy highway.Surprisingly very little noise filtered in.Free wifi was good.Usually most of these big hotels charge for wifi. They need some facelift in their lobby and elevators. The swimming pool and fitness center looked good with some new paint job.

Room Tip: ask for higher floor rooms especially 9th floor.May be a little more expensive but is worth it.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was quiet and was easy to get around. Loved the breakfast buffet and pool, as well. My boyfriend was quiet happy to see they followed through with the high floor, fridge and highway view (he loves cars) he had asked for. However the bath/shower tiles need help as they easily come out of the wall, some stains on the ceiling, heater was loud and had the sink plug break easy. The location is great though, lots of food venues around! Overall, good stay and for the price is a good value.
