First, the night front desk man is not helpful at all. He was really rude when we checked in and charge us 50$ even though the room was prepaid. He was really not happy when we ask him why.
Second, the room isn't really clean, there where hair and yellow spots on the sheets and the towels had an bizarre smell.
The breakfast was correct. The location is good too, just a little bit too close to the highway...
There's an holiday inn and a best western next door

Well I stay at a lot of Comfort Inns in Canada due to obstacle racing and normally they are clean, comfortable, friendly and very accommodating. I was a little disappointed as I had group booked for this hotel several months before our event, but found that I had to call several times before to finalize and make sure that things would be ready.
Unfortunately, on arrival the group booking was not under original name, it took a long time to check in, and we had to request to have the rooms near each other. The one front desk fellow was polite but there was some confusion on rooms types. In the morning we had very specifically asked for early breakfast but at 6:15am there was still nothing out, and the front desk staff was VERY RUDE and not helpfully at all, it was only after I was a little forceful did he call to see where breakfast lady was (he was very lazy and rolled his eyes at one point while talking with me) and he was also very rude to one of the other team members. I explained to him that this was not acceptable customer service attitude and that he should follow up with the note on the board in his office. The location was nice and convenient, and most beds were comfortable, BUT it is NOT like the majority of COMFORT INNS and I would recommend holiday Inn express or the best western in the same location instead.

Stayed here prior to a 9:00 a.m. meeting at nearby York University. The hotel is located not too far off of Highwy 400 was quite busy but I got checked in in acceptable time. The hotel is clean and the beds are very comfortable. The room was comfortable overall. I think the hotel is due for a freshening up. The continental breakfast is good. I would stay here again.

My wife and I visited the world championship women under 23 for ultimate frisbee at York University in July 2013 in Toronto. We stayed just for one night - the beds were fine. There wasn't anything to complain about the service. We booked a non-smoking room; there was an Air-conditioner in the room, but had a chance to open the big window facing the back Parking-lot to step outside and air the room.
The Hotel was crowded and quite noisy during the late evening hours.
We choose to have breakfast in our room, because the breakfast room was overcrowded. The food served was average. The lack of cleanliness was another drawback, especially noticeable at the dirty windows. Looking for a bed just to stay one night ? The price is reasonable.

Room was dirty, the tub was plugged and the water just trickled out of the spout. Breakfast was very disorganized and the area was dirty. Actually notified choice hotels....they should be ashamed to have this hotel as part of their chain

Just average and the small annoyances added up. Lots of mistakes from the check in person - wrong number of days, not reading that it was prepaid etc. No elevator and lots of heavy doors so getting heavy luggage to the second floor is difficult. Coffee pot not cleaned when I got there and not cleaned the second day I stayed. Empty shampoo pack left in the shower. Someone else was given the same room and tried to get in at 3 AM. Then of course my key card did not work the next morning. And again the next. The breakfast room is really badly set up so people trying to get plates and cutlery block the door and really only one person at a time can get to the food easily. And both mornings the breakfast was not set up when it was supposed to be. One morning they were mopping the floor (there had not been a spill - seemed like just a routine mopping) 15 minutes into breakfast time. When I checked out no one was at the desk and no one appeared so after some time I just left.
Very noisy the first night and quiet the second.
On the good side, the water was hot and there were plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable.

So none of the problems was major but they added up to make for a less-than pleasant experience.

Room Tip: The doors by the stairs close very loudly so I would avoid rooms nearby.

After a long day at Canada's Wonderland we had hoped to have a quiet stay at a local hotel. The check in person was rude, and she did not even point us in the direction of our hotel room. The air conditioning was not working properly, and the hotel clerk said that there were no other rooms available. I expected better from this chain of hotels.
