Walking into the hotel foyer and being greeted by a long queue to check-in is not always welcome but tolerated. Check-in process was relatively quick once at the counter.
We got to our room. I think the lift transported us somewhere else. The lux and modern world of the hotel foyer is left behind. Disppointed is putting it very nicely...the decor is dated with dings and scuffs on most things. The carpet...what can I say...it has stains and even with its eye distracting pattern, doesn't hide the fact it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. There is no mini fridge in the room. The bathroom is small and cramped. What makes it worse is that the shower/bathtub drain still had hair in it (pictured) and there is mould in the grout in the shower as well as IN the shower-head (pictured).
The room smelt of stale air so we put on the air conditioning....that's when I noticed the mould in the air vent!!!
My husband and I will also be fighting for that one extra pillow. I have never seen a queen bed made with 3 pillows...are they seriously cost cutting there?
This place makes me feel like I'm in government housing or, when looking at the ceiling, a public toilet. How in the world does a place like this get 4 stars??More
