Every year we stay at this hotel, the day before our flight and on our return. This year we booked in on 7th Jan and again on our return 22nd Jan.
The hotel is very comfortable. The beds our great, lots of pillows and thick fluffy duvets.
The front desk is very efficient and service is tops.
We stayed at the Royal York, downtown Toronto, on the night of the Maple Leafs home opener. Very Pricey. I can honestly say that the accommodations at the Carlingview are equal to those at the Royal York, but, half the cost.
The room also includes parking in a secure, locked compound, this alone saves a lot of money.
Shuttle service to a from the airport is very good.
We definitely will book this hotel again next January.

It was a great place to stay for a reverse stayover with 2 weeks of parking included. We paid for our hotel room and parking before we left for two weeks in Jamaica and it was very reasonable.
We had two rooms booked and one vehicle to be parked. Luis was very pleasant with me when I went to pay upfront before we left as well as getting the shuttle to us to park the vehicle. When we arrived back from Jamaica it was 4:30 a.m. and Dameon was also very pleasant and prompt at giving us our keys to the rooms. He was also very helpful and gave us a late check-out till 1pm. The rooms were very clean as well as the bed linens and the beds were very comfortable. We we checked out Luis was once again very pleasant and got the shuttle to pick up our vehicle. I would definitely stay at the Carlingview again and thank you Luis and Dameon.

This is a clean little hotel with wonderful staff and clean rooms..... "however" if you are considering long term parking don`t stay here.
Why.?.. because the offsite parking lot is a couple of blocks from the hotel. You must follow the shuttle bus to find it and at a prescribed time arranged by the front desk. You wind your way around the rear of an industrial complex to a fenced in field. I call it a field, because it is has no location markings within the lot, no lightning, a rutty icy mess in winter and a mud bowl in the spring. The driver ( who was great by the way, this is not his doing ) opens the gate and you park your vehicle while he waits for you to hopefully return to the gate.
Now, imagine coming home weeks later at night to get your vehicle. .. It is "pitch black", he opens the gate and you attempt to find your car in this large lot, walking on uneven, slippery or muddy footing. your luggage is left back at the gate or on the shuttle. You stroll around in the dark trying to remember where your car is.
A female wondering around in this so called secure area in the dark, is a recipe for disaster. Hopefully you can locate it, then drive it out to the gate where you get your luggage left on the ground, or in the shuttle bus.
This is "bush league" at its best...... Avoid, avoid. there are better alternatives.

Room Tip: No really great room locations... this hotel sits at the approach to one of the Pearson runways.

This is an excellent stopover hotel and we have stayed there many times. Always clean and always friendly service. We arrived right after the mega ice and snow storms that crippled the airport so needless to say all of the local hotels had been put to the test. They still had everything going and with a pleasant attitude in spite of it all. Breakfast is continental but starts at 3am I believe, so you can grab a bite on your way to the airport.
Will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms all good that we've stayed in.

Stayed here one night each (2 nights total) on our way to and back from vacation. Very helpful staff, and convenient access to Toronto airport. Kept the car in their locked parking lot (outdoor) for 3 weeks. Will keep this hotel in mind whenever we plan a trip out of Toronto. On site restaurant (Mr. Greek) was nice too.

We stayed at this hotel the night before our trip to Maui on Nov 30th, and the evening on the day of our return on Dec 30th.Because we stayed 2 nights we were able to leave our vehicle in the hotel locked parfking compound for free for a month. We also got shuttle service to and from the airport.
On our return it was extremely cold in Toronto. We were pleased with how quickly the shuttle bus came to the airport to pick us up...about 10 minutes. We were able to wait inside at the shuttle pick up location.
We overslept on New Year's Eve and I called the front desk to apologize and let them know we could get away by noon. Even though I had forgotten to ask for a late check-out, the staff were quite understanding and helpful. We always stay at this hotel when we fly out of Toronto.

Room Tip: After a long flight we wanted the quietest room possible. We were given 102 and it worked out well.

We stayed the night here prior to flying to the Dominican, and used the Park and Fly associated with the hotel. Check-in and car parking went very smoothly, and we had a spacious, clean and attractive room. The room was very quiet. When we returned on December 27, we found our car was frozen into the parking lot due to an ice storm. After the shuttle driver and some of the passengers tried to push us out, with no luck, we returned to the hotel. The front desk clerk called their maintenance man, and he found a couple of shovels. He returned to the car with the shuttle driver and my husband, and they would not give up until they freed the car, by literally chipping it out of the ice. We were very impressed with the caring service, and will definitely stay here again.
