“Hilton Toronto has exceeded our expectations...and that's hard to do!”

I'm a road warrior. When I'm not staying in Hiltons on business, I'm booked into the great ones for vacation. Hilton Toronto had a great half-points/half-pay deal that we used for the long weekend before Canadian Thanksgiving. Front desk check-in was swift, but it turned out that the guest that staying the room before us must have smoked like a chimney (though this is a smoke-free hotel.) Not only did the Hilton duty manager, Shirley, quickly switch our room - she upgraded us to a junior suite, and sent a bottle of wine for the minor inconvenience. There were so many small but valued exchanges, with the concierge, the maitre d', the housekeepers, the bellman -- all were attentive and seemed to anticipate every need a road-weary traveler and her companion could require. Thank you Hilton Toronto team!

Room Tip: All the views seem lovely, but the higher you go, the greater expanse of Toronto you will have the o...

Dear Trip Advisor Member ...

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your time at the hotel and in Toronto.

Our team works very hard to "share the light and warmth of hospitality" with each and every guest and I'm thrilled that you felt this spirit from several of our team members including our Duty Manager, Shirley, as well as with members from our operational teams ... Housekeeping, Concierge, Restaurant, Bellmen, etc.

And, the fact that we were able to turn a potentially negative experience into a positive one certainly reinforces our company value to "Make it Right".

We appreciate your patronage and look forward to welcoming you again, whenever your travel plans bring you back to Toronto!

Warm wishes,

Andy Loges

Over the years I have stayed here for one- to three-night stays for business in downtown Toronto and have never been disappointed. Centrally located at University Avenue and Richmond Streets you can walk to may locals ... Queen's Park, MARS, hospital cluster, banking towers, Yonge Street meandering, shopping at the Eaton Centre when the weather is good or take the underground pedestrian PATH network of subway in more inclement weather.

Rooms are modern and spacious, gym is excellent and modern, pool is good for lengths and new lobby bar restaurant has funky food but also comes alive at night for socializing and unwinding. Convention facilities underneath the hotel can host large regional and national meetings.

The hotel is secure and staff are professional to the core.

Room Tip: Don't take a high floor as elevators take some time during peak hours in the AM and PM.

My husband and I arrived at the Hilton Hotel, Toronto after an 8 hour flight from London Gatwick. The reception area is very nice and we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. When we had unpacked and about to leave our room we noticed the room next door had music playing very loudly but thought on our return, hopefully, would be quieter. Unfortunately, this did not happen as the music was still at the same volume, so telephoned reception and they sent up security. We heard security knocking on the door and entering the room but still the music was playing loudly and nobody had bothered to inform us as to what was happening. We, therefore, had to get dressed and go down to reception, who explained that nobody was in the room and a computer had been left on. We were asked if we wanted to change rooms which, of course, we did and it would have been nice if we had been offered some help to move but we had to do this ourselves.
During the early hours of the following morning we were woken up at 3am in the morning to hear a couple arguing in the corridor and, again, security had to be called. On leaving the hotel we had a word with the receptionist to inform her that we were not happy with our stay at the Hilton due to the noisy and selfish people and that on our return for our last night we would like to stay in a quiet room and, therefore, was informed we would have an upgrade to Executive, which we were assured would be quieter.
On our return we were given an Executive Room which was quieter, but must admit had to double check with reception that it was Executive as it looked exactly the same as our previous deluxe rooms. Very disappointing. The breakfasts were superb on both stays but do think the hotel rooms do require refurbishment as looking rather tired.

Great location, central and next to the subway . We had a high floor with a view facing the city. The room was very modern and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was provided and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants.

Room Tip: Try to avoid a room that is next to the elevators

Fourth or fifth time I've stayed at the Hilton Toronto and, once again, I had a very positive experience. Room was sizeable with great view of CN Tower (much better than from scenic elevator!). Only issue I have is price of food which is why it's much better as a business destination than a tourist one.

This is a good quality downtown hotel. There is nothing to make the hotel "sparkle", except for the (expensive) Ruth's Chris steak restaurant downstairs. Nevertheless, there is nothing to complain about at all in the hotel, which offers good stays and good rooms. All the staff we encountered were perfectly competent and unobtrusive.
The Exec lounge offers breakfast for eligible guests and a comfortable environment for snacks and (paid) drinks in the early evening.
Half the elevators are "scenic", with glass windows and views of the city. A taxi is a fixed price to and from the airport, and the hotel is walking distance from the CN Tower, the waterfront and the main railway station.

Room Tip: The higher floors seem to be better. Decide whether you want to pay anything extra for a view of a d...

Stayed at the Hilton for a night with a couple friend. Great location especially if you want to enjoy the Toronto nightlife, as the entertainment district is right there. Check in was smooth. Cool elevators with a view outside. Room service was great. I had a fantastic burger although it was pricey. I really enjoyed it. The only downside was that I had a really crappy sleep. Actually we all did. Not sure if if were the bed or pillows?!?!? Overall, it was great. Clean rooms :)). Would I stay here again??? Yes, but only to expect not to get a good nights sleep.
