We stayed here during Grey Cup November 21-27. Overall the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we easily walked to Eaton Centre and the CN Tower area. It was quiet and the room was spacious enough for our needs with a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed desk and chair. We only had breakfast our last morning there but it was a decent assortment of yogurt and pastries and some hot items. I found the orange juice really good - seemed to be from concentrate but not watered down.

I would stay here again if I needed to be in the downtown toronto area. The only downside is that there were not enough variety of restaurants close by which was a hindrance when we spent a lot of time in the hotel itself.

We had a good stay at this hotel, which is in walking distance to many features in a great city. The Eaton Centre is a short walk, entertainment district is a long walk. The subway is not too far away. The hotel is adequate, not luxurious. It could use a little sprucing up. The room was not very large, but clean and comfortable. There was no microwave or fridge in our double room. But the staff was very helpful and the breakfast was the typical Holiday Inn Express fare. It was delicious, there was an extensive choice, and all you could want. The price was resonable compared to other hotels in Toronto. Of course you have to pay extra for the parking garage and for more than 2 people in the room. If your not looking for luxury, this place is worth a stay.

I stayed here for business in December 2012, as it was near where I needed to be. But that was about all that was nearby. It's not very central to downtown (if walking).

The staff are very nice, the breakfast and internet was fine, but the place is in major need of an overhaul. The carpets are faded, look dirty and dated, the TV is a 23 inch CRT and the air conditioner doesn't seem to have a thermostat in it.

I'm likely to end up staying here again for work, but unless you need to be in this area, I'm sure you can do better for a trip to Toronto.

Stayed 2 nights with my husband and daughter and the stay was very good. Great size room however the view was not much. We stayed at this hotel twice and the 1st visit we were able to see the skyline, 2nd visit view was overlooking the front of the building. Apart from that, breakfast area was somewhat crowded but it was summer time. Would definetely stay here again when visiting Toronto.

We stayed here for two nights in October 2012 on a road trip of Canada and USA.

The hotel is located in a good position as far as we were concerned. We walked and rode the metro system to all the places we wanted to see.

We used the discounted hotel car parking which was very convenient.

Reception was helpful and did their best to make us feel welcome, even called the room once we had settled in to ask if all was ok.

There things started to go down hill. Once we left the lift on the 11th floor my heart started to sink. The corridor carpets were tired and stained and this continued on in to our room. This could so easily be remedied if they were to closed a floor at at time and get in contract carpet cleaners. I didn't want to even walk around in my socks!

The room itself was small and cramped with old furniture, a very old TV which was blurred housed in what looked to me like an old wartime wardrobe!! The bathroom whilst clean and well lit smelt which we later found was a leak from the cracked drain under the basin. There was a bucket under the drain to catch the water. A cheerful maintenance man came to inspect it a couple of times during our stay and tried to patch it up! It was broken and should just have been replaced.

We returned to the room on several occasions to find the lights had been left on indicating someone had been in. I know they needed to service the room but with no room safes we felt the rooms were insecure.

Breakfast was the usual offering of frozen omelettes and sausage patties, but be aware that there is not a lot of seating and if you time it wrong when a coach trip arrives it gets very cramped.

All in The staff were fine, but the total lack of investment shows. This could be such a lovely place to stay if only they were to give it a make over. Until then I would not want to stop here again.

Room Tip: The higher up you are the quieter it becomes, I would imagin the lifts opening and closing could be...

Great value for the money. Good breakfast included, which makes things easier. Good free wifi all over the hotel too. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown. I didnt have to use public transportation in Toronto (but ok, i like to walk). It is really near St Lawrence market (about 2 blocks) and at the same area you can find several restaurants and fast food options, including mc donalds, jack astor's, subway, pizzas, french and italian restaurants. All restaurants are way cheaper at lunch. You can also find a supermarket (metro) very near, which is great to buy water and whatever you need. So, its not a luxurious hotel, but if you want to spend less and have a good base to explore Toronto, i recommend.

Room Tip: I would choose a higher floor, if possible the ones facing the little square in front of the church.
