“Excellent service and great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2011

The hotel is ideally located in Yorkville, nice area of the city. The service is excellent, the staff members are pleasant and helpful. A variety of nice breakfasts are proposed at the restaurant. If you stay in this hotel it worth going to the bar on 18th floor to look at the city view, probably one of the best.

My partner & I have just spent 4 nights here over a long weekend.
The welcome on arrival is great and we loved the decor and old style glamour of the hotel.
Our room was in the old part of the hotel with spectacular views of the city. It was a little shabby though with broken curtain track & broken lamp with exposed wires! I found this surprising for a hotel of this standard. There were 2 small double beds in our room and when we asked for a room with a larger bed we were told we wouldn't have the view so we opted for this room.
The bathroom was spacious and beds comfy enough the only downfall was the weak hairdryer which took an hour to blow-dry your hair! Mine wouldn't work withthe UK wattage difference!
The spa is nicely situated however it would have been a lot better if facilities could have been enjoyed together not segregated for males and females!
The gym was adequate with good facilities and even cold refrigerated towels to cool off after your workout!
The rooftop bar is out of this world! Amazing cocktails and Joe the cocktail bar tender who has worked there 51 years since the hotel opened was a pleasure to speak with and made the most delicious martinis!
The breakfast was AMAZING! Such delicious choices and polite staff and simply could not fault it as were every one of the staff during out stay from the valet parking staff to the concierge.
Even the small gripes about the room didn't take away the wonderful experience of this beautiful, classy and so distinguished hotel in the heart of the best part of Toronto.
Visit and enjoy every minute.... We did! ;-)))

We completely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The service was impeccable, our room was exceptionally clean. The food was delicious, very satisfied with breakfast. The staff were always willing to go the extra mile. The location of the hotel was also very convenient.

I really cannot find a fault with this hotel. It's highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms in the South Tower are more modern

Accompanied my husband to a business conference in Toronto that took place at the Park Hyatt. We enjoyed this hotel much more than our previous stay at the Fairmont Royal York.

We loved the Park Deluxe King suite that we stayed in! Both the living room and luxurious marble washroom were spacious and well appointed. Turndown service was a nice touch. Though we didn’t pay the bill, I believe the corporate rate for this upper floor suite was a very reasonable $175/night.

The location of this hotel is convenient for shopaholics as it’s a stone’s throw away from boutique shopping in Yorkville and designer shopping on Bloor. However, it’s worth noting that there is no airport shuttle available and the hotel is a $60 cab ride from Pearson.

Having missed dinner due to my late flight, I asked the concierge for late-night food suggestions upon arrival. Though he initially thought most nearby restaurants would be closed (other than McDonalds, Tim Hortons, and Room Service), he did come up with a lifesaver – Hemmingways Pub across the street. Afterwards, I enjoyed a drink and view of the city at the Roof Lounge on the 18th floor.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to enjoy the steam room, sauna, hot tub, or fitness centre at the Stillwater Spa (available to hotel guests at no cost); however, I did take a mini tour and the spa amenities seemed wonderful.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Park Hyatt. We highly recommend it for both business and leisure!

I stayed at the hotel for one night with my mother. We arrived early and we able to check-in to our upgraded room right away. We were struck by the friendly staff from the moment we arrived and this carried on throughout our stay.
The room was a generous size and we both had a good sleep. The bathroom was excellent and the extra amenities were nice.
The concierge service was great. They recommended a restaurant in the evening and kept our bags the next day when we went shopping. Again everyone was so friendly.

We went for breakfast at the hotel and while the prices were quite high we split their special and were satisfied.

I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a superb week in Toronto living in a Park Suite at the Park Hyatt hotel, at the end of March. Everything about our experience in this hotel was just perfect. I'd arrived from a work trip to the US while my partner came directly from the UK, and a week here was just what we needed.

Our airport taxi dropped us at the entrance, and the door staff had our bags on a trolley before we were out of the taxi. They looked at our luggage tags and greeted us by name. In the lobby my partner was shown to an armchair while I checked us in. The person who greeted me outside introduced me to the desk staff by name and ensured check-in was processed promptly. A concierge then showed us briefly where the spa, restaurant etc were and directed us to the lifts and our room. This was amazing service given that we haven't ever stayed at this hotel before and aren't members of their frequent guest programme.

The room was really very impressive. It was a Park Suite, which consists of a living room and bedroom (see my photos). The living room has a minibar (which we didn't use), sofa, writing desk, coffee table and chair. There's a flatscreen TV too. The bedroom has a King bed (very comfortable), a further flatscreen tv, bedside tables etc. There is an ipod docking station in each room, and each room has a large cupboard with a motion-activated light. There is ample wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom was very nice, with quality toiletries that were replenished as required. There was a nightly turndown service including two bottles of water, and the room was serviced at least twice daily (judging by how often things were tidied if we were back at the hotel during the day).

There was free wifi throughout the hotel, which was easy to use. A newspaper was delivered to our room every morning in a branded Park Hyatt bag, which I thought was a nice touch (though I only read it once - I was on holiday!)

We didn't have any spa treatments but as hotel guests we could use the facilities, including the relaxation area (with tea, snacks, magazines, fishtank etc), and male/female jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms.

All the staff we interacted with were helpful, friendly and courteous. Everyone from the chambermaids to the concierge, bellhop, spa staff and front-of-house team were great and really added to our stay. The concierge team were especially helpful, and coordinated the repair of some luggage which had been damaged by the airline in transit.

The hotel is in the trendy Yorkville area of Toronto, and has a subway station ("museum" station) in the next block, just past the Royal Ontario Museum. You can get to the main financial area etc by subway within ten minutes. There are lots of very nice restaurants and high-end shops (Tiffany, Vera Wang etc) within walking distance. The hotel also has a towncar service in the mornings and evenings though we didn't use this.

I've stayed in a lot of very nice hotels and this ranks among my best hotel experiences. I was very impressed by the Park Hyatt and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top quality hotel stay in Toronto.

Stayed in Toronto as part of a Canada trip with my wife. Of all the Park Hyatt's we have been to, this was the weakest. The rooms and the corridors are tired in decor (which is a tacky American interpretation of 'European decor'), the carpets were partially dirty and ripped, the furniture chipped. Room cleaning was slow and it was forgotten one day. Laundry service turned out to be wrong, expensive and late.
The receptionist staff were not especially welcoming and professional. It felt rushed once again (as it did at the Park Hyatt Melbourne). No personal welcome and no one came up with us to our room. Once again, I can only warn receptionists not to behave arrogantly (as they did here) as it does not bode well. If you feel superior, don't work in the service industry my friends.

The room itself looked perfect for a tired looking four star hotel. Especially annoying was the room door, which had a big enough gap to the floor so that you could hear every single move from the corridor. The same problem occurred in the Park Hyatt Melbourne and I am rather annoyed with some Park Hyatts simply not being up to scratch. It is not difficult to construct doors that shut properly and align perfectly with the floors.

Overall, the service was very average. If you get a good rate, it is an OK hotel to stay in, otherwise, not worth the money and definitely not 4-5 Star.
