“Fabulous location in Toronto!”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff... But above all, great location! Steps away from the financial district, but in a quiet area, near the St. Lawrence market... On a quaint street with pubs, restaurants... Everything you need witin walking distance!

A very nice hotel, close to the downtown Toronto attractions. Clean/safe/pleasant area to walk around, with lots of places to eat nearby, including our favorite Japanese restaurant (at 22 Front St.) with world-class sushi. The downtown Market is only 2 blocks away, and well worth a visit to see.

Modern, well-appointed rooms and suites. The breakfast at the hotel is ok, but nothing to write home about. Our heating unit stopped working the second day we were there; it was quickly fixed and put back in working order. Lots of underground parking available. Staff are helpful and pleasant.

However, you will only enjoy sleeping at this hotel if you have a good set of ear plus (or can sleep through anything). The majority of the rooms face onto The Esplanade street, which has a row of pubs and restaurants on the opposite side of the street. After midnight, you will hear taxis honking horns and other cars blaring their horns to get past the congestion of cars and drunken revelers making their exit. The drunks hang around outside SPEAKING AS LOUDLY AS POSSIBLE SO THAT EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR THEIR PROFOUND CONVERSATION at 2:30 in the morning. Fortunately we had ear plugs to drown out the noise.

Room Tip: Some rooms are at the East end of the hotel looking over a parking lot which presumably would have l...

As always the hotel is very nice does not have a view of the city but great value for your dollar and lots of restaurants and the market just down the street! And steps from Sony centre,ACC and rogers centre are about 15 min walk so great location!
Oh and tried the buffet breakfast with my girlfriend this time and wow great selection and tasted better then some of the 5 star hotels we been too!

I spend two nights at this hotel on a business trip . The room was clean and had a comfortable.bed. The thermostat was not working thus there was no way to adjust the room temperature. The bathroom was okay. Nothing fancy. I noticed a crack on the sink as well as other minor details that speak about the need to upkeep the hotel. The business meeting rooms are boring, and cold. The food was good.

Stayed for 4 days and found service great. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Rooms had everything you would need and were very clean. Located close to attractions and downtown, so didn't spend alot of time in the room. Subway and Union Station very close. There were many restaurants close by.......alot of choice! Overall, a very good experience.

Just a few minutes walk from Union Station and, once there, a stone's throw from St. Lawrence Market, plenty of eateries. Service good, rooms comfortable and clean. Had a noisy neighbour upstairs (a bout of protracted foot stomping--in glee?--certainly not in response to any noise WE were making!) at 11 pm was promptly/politely addressed by staff w/ a quick phone call to the front desk. Cafe Nicole a nice buffet on the weekend and reasonably priced. The Distillery District a walkable distance.
