“Nice Place to Stay for a Hockey Game”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

My fiance and I stayed at the King Eddie on a Saturday night. We had tickets to the Leafs/Habs game so decided to make a fun evening of it and stay overnight in Toronto, even though we only live about half hour away from the ACC. The hotel was a quick 10 minute walk to the rink.
The hotel lobby is absolutely beautiful. On this stay, we had a room on the 10th floor. The room was not one of the renovated rooms and we had a view of another wall, but all in all we had a nice stay. It served our purpose for the evening. The bed was awesome!!! Any staff we interacted with were very helpful and nice.
If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, I'd highly recommend Big Smoke Burger which is directly across the street. Best burger I've ever had.
My fiance used the gym and said it was great. Very large, with lots of machines.
I would stay at the King Eddie again.

Conveniently located therefore able to walk to venues in central Toronto like shopping and theatre. The room was spacious, well decorated, clean and the beds amazingly comfortable. Our package included a fresh and wholesome buffet breakfast in the Royal Lounge. That room was quiet and well serviced. I would happily return to the King Edward Hotel on a Travelzoo special.

The King Edward beautifully combines old-world charm with modern conveniences. The service is exceptional. Some of the extras are worthwhile, such as the Club Floor for breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres.

Good option for business hotel close to Bay street. The change over of this hotel to Omni seems to be working very well and they have made improvements on the service and value for money. Would use this hotel again in Toronto.

As frequent guests at the King Edward Hotel, this time around we enjoyed the renovated rooms with sitting area on the sixth floor. The room was spacious and modern while still retaining the stately and elegant character of the hotel. The deluxe breakfast and afternoon wine and hors d'oevres offered in the Royal Club were generous with lots of choice.
Aside from the central location within walking distance to the waterfront, stores and restaurants, what keeps bringing us back to this hotel is the warm and extremely friendly staff. From being greeted at the front door, to having concert tickets printed at reception to enjoying great food and drinks in the Consort Bar, all in all, a great overall experience.

My brother & his wife and my husband & I stayed at the King Edward Hotel on March 22, 2014. We had reservations for the Sunday Brunch to celebrate my other brother's 50th birthday along with another couple. The wonderful experience started right when we pulled up to the front door. The staff greeted us like we were royaty and immediately took care of our luggage & car. Since I am an omni member my reservations we already and waiting on a board at the front desk. The front desk staff could not have been more professional and welcoming. When we walked into our rooms it took our breath away. The rooms were absolutely beautiful. They were decorated perfectly in keeping the "old" English feel to the hotel. We had dinner at the Consort Bar. Our waiter was outstanding and attentive. For once in my life I did not have a waiter come up and ask me "how my food was tasting"! Our meals were so out of this world. Check out was so easy. Since we had reservations for the Sunday Brunch our luggage was kept safe downstairs waiting for us to leave after Brunch. Brunch is an absolutely a must! Every station had a beautiful selection of unbelievable choices of culinary delights. Kudos to the Chef and his/her staff! We had fun. They served my brother a delightful plate of desserts compete with a candle and happy birthday written on the plate in belgian chocolate while the harpist played happy birthday. We travel often and I can truly say that The King Edward Hotel can't be beat. We are definately looking forward to our next stay. Next time I would love to try the High Tea.
