My family was in Toronto for 3 weeks in Canada and of which we stayed about 10 days at Cambridge Suites in July 2011. The last time when we were in Toronto was about 25 years ago when my wife and I were still students.
Cambridge Suites is right in the heart of downtown Toronto, within walking distance of Yonge and Queen, in fact, if you like walking, you can cover most of downtown on foot even to Chinatown to the northwest, Harbourfront in the south, Jarvis on the east and a good stretch of Yonge on the north.
Cambridge Suites has got one of the friendliest people around - always helpful and polite. Service is excellent, and you will always see a big smile no matter if it was early in the morning or late in the evening. The suites are large enough to easily cater to 4 adults. The business centre, though small, is sufficient to check emails or browse the web for more interesting things to do in Toronto! There is a small gym right at the top-floor which you can see Toronto beautiful skyline - especially during the night. It also comes with a restaurant on the ground floor, and a coin-operated laundry room in the basement - great that you need not bring that much clothes when you can wash and dry them within 2 hours!!
Food? Well, there's a convenience store just right opposite which opens late - great if you need to grab some munchies for the late night, or there's a Subway across the hotel. Tim Hortons, McDonalds and a bunch of quick-eats are just round the corner on Yonge, or if you rather the food court at Eaton Centre. For us, breakfast was at the Sunset Grill just up the street on Richmond. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but it can get pretty busy!!
As for transport, Queens subway is just below Eaton Centre, accessible through the Hudson Bay building ... but when you have so much to see, who needs the subway!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Cambridge Suites. Great stuff you guys!!
