“Service meant everything”

We stayed for 3 nights in late September. The hotel is on West Street but the entrance is small and luggage has to be lifted up stairs. Our taxi driver did not know there was a vehicle entrance at the side where there are no stairs and staff will take bags. The hotel is ideally located near the CN Tower. Our initial room on the 19th floor had lots of problems - no TV remote, no Guest Directory, the wash basin plug did not function and the shower was faulty. A single complaint was enough to have the Guest Services Director personally intervene. Within a couple of hours we were moved to the Producer's Suite on the 20th floor. It was fantastic. ( thank you, Parry). During our stay the staff were very helpful and cheery especially in the breakfast restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. This hotel is no Park Hyatt but after a shaky start we had a great 3 days.

This is the area you want to be in. It was an amazingly convenient location for my and my family. There is a great selection of restaurants right across the street, a Starbucks in the hotel lobby, and a convenience store right on the corner. Also, you definitely get the luxury vibe as soon as you step into the lobby.

The rooms were nice, but small. Also the contemporary decor in the rooms was questionable. It was nice that they have USB plugs in the room for charging your cell/tablet, but not all of them worked. Also, there was a lack of counter space in the bathroom.

My biggest complaint (and the reason I didn't give top score) was the lack of free WiFi in the rooms. For the price, it really should be included. It's free in the lobby, but not in the rooms. It feels very much like a nickel/dime situation regarding WiFi.

All of these are relatively minor complaints, because we had a great time and we didn't have to suffer due to a bad location. We were within walking distance of most of the major shopping areas, restaurants, the arena, stadium, and the CN Tower. Definitely recommended.

We stayed here for a 3 night mini vacation. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The room was very clean & had an awesome view. The concierge was very helpful, they even shipped a package for us. My only complaint would be the parking fee was very pricey and if I hadn't become a Hyatt Gold Member, I would've had to pay an extra fee too for wi-fi.

i travelled to TO for business and i wanted to some shopping as well as dine and get some fresh air. i like downtown hotels, to be in the heart of things. i didntexpect too much service from the hotel. i am only obsessed with cleaning and there was no problem with that. room is large enough. only negative thing is there is no minibar in the room. and concierge was so helpful. late checkout was Available with a fee.

This is truly an average hotel with small rooms & big city pricing.
The location is great, allowing easy access to excellent restaurants & public transportation.
The parking, once located, is "easy in & out."
Enjoy Toronto, it is a great city.

Room Tip: Be aware >> No refrigerator, no mini bar, luggage & drawer storage are inadequate, $15.00...

I stayed at this hotel last week to catch a Jay's game and it was so amazing how close this hotel is to both the entertainment district and the fashion district. The location is literally in walking distance to the main attractions in the downtown core including amazing restaurants. The rooms were clean however a bit smaller than I was used too. I'm not surprised as the hotel is right downtown. The hotel parking offers in and out privileges however due to the location of the parking garage, it's a bit tough to get in and out due to the traffic. We found it just as easy to walk. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and nicely decorated.

Room Tip: I recommend parking your vehicle and leaving it as it's difficult to get in and out of.

I booked this property through the Priceline no name thing so I got a heavily discounted price and was pleased to end up with a Hyatt Property as I have stayed at Hyatt's previously. Checkin was very smooth with a very professional and friendly Sarita who was very helpful and accomodated my request for a quiet room as I am a light sleeper. Sarita is a real asset as she was genuinely engaging and kind. I slept very well with no noise from adjoining rooms nor was I awokened from early mooning traffic so it was well insulated. the room was fine but a bit small/dark for a Hyatt property and the bathroom seemed a bit outdated with little counter space etc. But It had everything I needed exept a fridge which I was told was an extra $25. As I got a good price on Priceline I have no real complaints. The gym and business centre was above average and no extra charge, I enjoyed a nice beer at the bar and found Maria to be very personableI would definately stay here again at a discounted price and location is fantastic. As I forgot a few items I was very appreciative for the slippers, toothpaste etc at no extra cost

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper as I am ask for a room in a quiet area away from any large groups etc if...
