“Such a Positive Experience!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

The employees greet and say goodbye to everyone who walks in or leaves the restaurant by screaming in Japanese! The udon noodle dish, cod dish, brie dish were excellent! Try the black sesame ice cream for dessert! Very fun and loud atmosphere!!!

“Unagi Doria is awesome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

Was debating whether to rate the experience 4 or 5, but decided on 5 since the unagi doria (B.B.Q. water eel on mixed mushrooms with rice) is amazing and keep on thinking about that dish since I tried it. Everything else tasted really good. This is actually my first Guu experience even though I live in Vancouver (which has a few different Guu restauarants). Entertaining to have the staff greet you when you enter and when you leave. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Toronto.

“Not as good as Vancouver but fun....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

You have a time limit, which is the same as Vancouver. But if Toronto they try to tell you that's it's over before it actually is... If you are stern they accept your initial time.
Food was overly mayonaised and a few dishes colder than they should have been.
Fun atmosphere and loud... shared seating.

“hard to find but worth it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

agree with all the reviews - fun, noisy, delicious!!! we were on foot and nearly gave up -- it's set back a bit from the street on the corner, and the door is covered with black tarping (I assume for lined up waiting guests). sign is hard to see. we loved it.

“Full of energy and delicious food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

Warm welcome from the entire restaurant as you enter. The place is buzzing with energy. Service is excellent and the food comes in fast. Try as much as you can! Every dish was worthy of seconds and thirds, especially the deep fried brie cheese with mango and blueberry sauce, and the baked oysters. Great for birthdays; but not for big groups - they don't take reservations. On a wednesday it was a 30 minute wait, on weekends I heard it reaches to 2 hours wait minimum. I would say its totaly worth it.
