Balzacs is an old world cafe, sitting in a historic building in The Distillery District. The coffee is great, but it is the setting that is worth the trip on its own.

The coffee is great, and the ambiance inside is fantastic. The setup for ordering coffee is a little awkward.

Great location just across fron where the horse and carriages await there turn to take their next traveller ! The old train station is the beautiful balzac's yellow so you can't miss it! We like both the outdoor patio or sitting inside and having a good chatt with Maggie! We go because we can meet out neighbours but also a good venue for meeting business colleagues. Only problem is now they are serving treats from the pie plate oooohhh to good to resist!

and a good spot to people watch on a sunny day. Pastries, so-so... an outdoor patio that's on the edge of the main square in the Distillery District

You can't visit the distillery district without a visit to Balzac's. The building is beautiful both inside and out. The staff are friendly (when it's not packed you can actually talk to them), the coffee is great, the nibbles are top-notch. I just love spending time here, reading a book, meeting a friend. Very relaxed - I never want to leave.

Thank Godott
