When we arrived the staff (front desk, valet, housekeeper, etc.) were all pleasant and helpful and the room was immaculate. However, the room lacked basic accommodations,(not to mention lacking a bureau of any kind), I would have expected for a costly suite. So, take a minute to review their "for a fee" options (breakfast, internet, wifi, valet, local calls, etc.) because they will really add up. However, if watching a game from a room in the Roger's Centre is on your bucket list, go for it! It was a fantastic experience.

I spent two nights here. It was pretty well kept up, and the staff was very friendly. The odd part is that my room looked out on the domed Rogers Arena, almost like a skybox. There was a Toronto Argonauts game the second night of my stay, and when they opened up the stadium roof it was quite a nice view. With the roof closed, it's a little industrial, but at least the view is interesting.

The hotel's location is very convenient to downtown. I'd stay here again.

Room Tip: If there's an event going on in the stadium, ask for a stadium view room for and view it for fre...

I received a deal on line so my wife and I decided to take in a Blue Jays game and stay over. The stay started out a bit rough but the staff redeemed themselves.
We arrived in the valet parking area, it was a little tight but worked out well. After we checked in we went to our room which was a little small, had I known that this was the room given to the deal people I would have chosen to pay full rate. When we got to the room and the carpet was soaking wet and there was a blower running. I phoned the front desk and they said they would send someone up to move us, we waited 15 minutes in the hall no one arrived.
After waiting we went back to the front desk and they were very apologetic and offered us an upgrade at no extra charge, we ended up in a much nicer room. The staff really came through.
We went for lunch in the lounge before the game, it's a great place to eat especially with the view of the stadium we were able to watch the warm-up before the game.
We returned for dinner and found the menu a little small and without the view of the warm-up a little pricey.
Overall I will definitely return, I might however have dinner elsewhere.

Room Tip: We chose not to stay on the stadium side as it costs allot more and from my wife's past experien...

Unbelievable! My husband arrived at the hotel with confirmed reservation on hand through his corporation with late check-in guaranteed and they said they are booked, because some guests did not leave. Renaissance hotel rep sent him to the “no name” terrible place. When I called to inquire about this situation, shift manager advised that they had a water leak and some rooms are uninhabitable at the moment. Hotel staff cannot even get their lies straight! Poor management! Poor service!

Stayed here for one night with my family to watch a baseball game before heading to Healy lake. Hotel is connected to the SkyDome and lounge over looks the field. Friendly staff helped us find a bank within walkung distance as the ATM machine at hotel was not accepting our U.S.A. debit card. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

My husband and I spend the weekend at the Renaissance downtown for a Blue Jays weekend. What an experience! The rooms are really nice and clean and the staff is exceptional. Jim, one of the hotel Navigators, gave us directions to anywhere we wanted to go. The lady who cleaned our room on Sunday, KerryAnn, was such a nice person. She made our trip even more enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks so much for such a memorable weekend.

Room Tip: Our room was right next to the elevator on the 10th floor. Beautiful view of the city.

It's the noise level that causes me to give this only a three. All rooms that are not stadium side face the train tracks and on the 7th floor at least, the go-trains that run every 3-5 minutes are loud and if the are trains on the closer track, the room actually shakes. Stadium side rooms would be much better. Otherwise, the hotel itself is very nice, clean and great staff... exactly what you would expect from a Marriott property. The rooms are spacious as well, so that is a bonus for downtown. Location is perfect if you are doing a little site seeing in Toronto, close to great restaurants, CN tower, stadiums and lake front.

Room Tip: Go Stadium side.
