we drove pass the lakes several times from the motorway,it looked very glass like and smooth it is situated between the mountains and that of apartment buildings, there are actually alot of apartment buildings close to the lake as it seems all the well to do are eager of getting that beautiful lake view.
not much activity since it was winter time ,however if you are interested in geography and a good landmark to view,it is good for a close up visit.

Thank Peter J

This is a beautiful lake enjoyed by all who love living near the water. I lived in Clarkson on the Lake for 10 years; our view was the Toronto skyline. In the Summer we sat on our patio and watched the fireworks over Toronto on Victoria Day and the boating activities on the lake.

Toronto has (and still is) developped an attractive lakefront of several kilometres (from Humber Bay to the Distillery).
Whether you like to jog, rollerblade, bike or simply walk there is something for you, The water is clean and you can see many water birds all year round.
The downtown piece of this stretch is soon to be completed but one can already enjoy the two urban beaches.
And of course the Toronto islands should not be forgotten.

We've been enjoying living close to the shores of this immense body of water for almost a year. last summer we spent a lot of time in its refreshing water during the hotest days. This winter we have enjoyed walking along the shoreline. We particularly like the way the colour of the water changes constantly.
