This park is a beautiful place to visit, there is something for everyone. Pool during the summer months, great trails for a long walk, zoo and playgrounds for the kids, watch a baseball game, yoga classes in the park and a huge leash free dog park. I live nearby and enjoy taking a picnic basket and having dinner on those warm summer nights. During the summer months there is also Shakespeare in the park. Don't forget Grenadier pond.

My family and I paid a visit to High Park while visiting Toronto and was not disappointed. There are many trails available to walk and run, as well as ride bikes if you are in to riding bikes. They had plenty of space for dogs if you had a dog as well, including a leash off area. There were sports parks, food places, and plenty of playground space for the little ones. We enjoyed the scenery at the park during our visit and also found the zoo very neat for a city park. My kids were able to see Bison, and other animals when we went through the park. I was very happy to have stopped here and would recommend it to anyone passing through the area. I would probably bring a picnic lunch the next time I visited, but they also have food available to purchase throughout the park.

Entered on a path that took me up and down hills in a forest which lead to a dog walking park. After a large hill came into a clearing on top with benches to sit and enjoy the views overlooking valley of beautiful trees and great place for picnic lunch and chat with other tourists who were from Scotland. Their is a small zoo of animals which I came upon while walking the path through the forest. This is a very large park which you could easily spend all day walking around. I stopped at the "Lunch Box at Keele and Bloor for a takeout lunch so I could picnic in the park. There is a restaurant in the park and you can drive to parking lots on the grounds. A great place to get a real workout walking in a natural setting and forget the fast pace of the big city.

Wide open spaces close to the subway. Very hilly in places but lovely walks, sports facilities and cafes.

The park offers great access to greenery, nice small zoo for kids and a good restaurant. It can definitely use additional places for eating even if only during the summer.
